Quick Guide: Iudex Gundyr

A quick guide on how to defeat Iudex Gundyr, the first boss in Dark Souls 3

Iudex Gundyr

• Phase 1 lock on and strafe right, roll his swings and strike once after he attacks, don't get greedy
  
• Phase 2 get close and strafe left this time, you only need to dodge roll his claw swipe and leap, attack twice after each attack
  
• He is very weak to fire in his mutated form (Hint: all mutated enemies in the game are)
  
• Check out the video at the bottom for my first kill
  
  
  

  Weak

  • Weak to frost damage
    
  • Weak to fire damage
  
  

  Resistant

  • Resistant to dark damage
    
  • Resistant to bleed damage
  
  

  Immune

  • Immune to poison and toxic damage
  
  

  Drops

  • Souls: NG 3000, NG+ 15000
    
  • Coiled Sword
  
  The Coiled Sword is used to create the firelink bonfire
