Introduction
This guide describes the StarsOne crafting system. In addition to an overview of crafting equipment, non-recipe items are described. If you're looking for an item not included in this guide, it is available as a recipe from one of the workbenches. If the item you're looking for isn't in your workbench's menu, you most likely need to use a higher tier workbench.

The crafting menu is opened by pressing C (by default), or by using a workbench. Only the simplest recipes are available without a workbench.
Crafting Tools
Reference is made throughout this guide to various types of equipment, described below.

Centrifuge
Centrifuges reduce crushed ores to their basic components through inertia.

Centrifuge
Industrial Centrifuge
Centrifuge
Industrial Centrifuge

Both types of centrifuge have the same capabilites. The Industrial Centrifuge reduces ore more quickly than its basic counterpart.

Crusher
Crushers break ore into powder. Ore needs to be crushed before it may be used in a centrifuge.

Crusher
Industrial Crusher
Crusher
Industrial Crusher

Both crushers have the same capabilities. The Industrial Crusher processes ore more quickly than the basic crusher.

Distiller
Distillers purify water, and do so more efficiently than heating water in a campfire or furnace.

Distiller
Chem Lab
Distiller
Chem Lab

The Chem Lab purifies water more quickly than the basic distiller.

Electrolyzer
Electrolyzers break resources into core elements through electrolysis. At the moment, electrolyzers are only used to reduce Powder of Titanium Dioxide into Titan Powder Refined (necessary for the creation of Titan Ingots).

Furnace
Furnaces (aside from the campfire) smelt ore and powder into ingots, fire clay into brick, and purify water using heat. It is always more efficient to make ingots with refined powder instead of ore, and it is more efficient to purify water with a distiller than with a furnace. Furnaces not powered by electricity require fuel such as wood or coal.

Campfire
Stone Furnace
Melting Furnace

Melting Furnace
Furnace
Industrial Furnace

  • Campfire - Although not a furnace, the campfire provides light and is capable of melting resin and purifying dirt water. It is not hot enough to smelt ore or fire brick.
  • Stone Furnace - Capable of smelting iron, copper, silver and gold. Able to fire clay into brick.
  • Melting Furnace - An improved version of the Stone Furnace, with the ability to smelt lead and steel ingots.
  • Furnace - An improved version of the Melting Furnace, powered by electricity.
  • Industrial Furnace - The top tier furnace, capable of making titan ingots.

Press
Presses make metal plates from metal ingots.

Industrial Pressing

  • Anvil - Capable or making plates of iron and copper, the anvil is powered by manual labor.
  • Pressing - Capable of pressing steel and powered by electricity.
  • Industrial Pressing - The top tier press, capable of forming Titan Plate.

Workbench
Workbenches serve as crafting stations. While basic crafting may be accomplished without a workbench, more advanced recipes become available with higher tiered workbenches.

Auto Workbench

  • Wooden Workbench - Allows crafting of basic items.
  • Workbench - An upgraded version of the Wooden Workbench that allows crafting of electronics, assault rifles, and ammunition.
  • Workbench Hi-Tech - The top tier workbench capable of crafting all recipes.
  • Auto Workbench - Placed on an ore vein to harnass geothermal power and collect its own resources, the Auto Workbench is capable of crafting various high end components. The Auto Workbench crafts select components without requiring resources from the player.
Brick
BrickBricks are crafted by heating clay in a furnace.
Coal
Coal OreCoal Ore is obtained from basic mining, or using an Ore Extractor. Coal is a slow burning fuel for furnaces, and is more efficient than burning wood as fuel.

Powdered Coal OreWhen crushed, each chunk of Coal Ore produces one Powdered Coal Ore. When placed in a centrifuge, each Powdered Coal Ore produces:
  • 10 Coal Powder Refined
  • 5 Concrete Mix

Concrete Mix
Concrete MixConcrete Mix is the result of refining Crushed Stone in a centrifuge. Crushed Stone is obtained by crushing Stone or Silicon.
Copper
Copper OreCopper Ore is obtained from basic mining, or using an Ore Extractor. The easiest, but least efficient, way to craft copper ingots is to use copper ore in any type of furnace. When smelted directly, one piece of ore yields one ingot. However, if the ore is crushed and then refined in a centrifuge, each chunk of ore yields two copper ingots, lead, silver, and gold.

Powdered Copper OreWhen crushed, each chunk of copper ore produces one Powdered Copper Ore. When placed in a centrifuge, each Powdered Copper Ore produces:
  • 10 Copper Powder Refined
  • 5 Lead Powder Refined
  • 3 Silver Powder Refined
  • 1 Gold Powder Refined

Copper Powder Refined5x Copper Powder Refined may be smelted to create a copper ingot. Since crushing and processing copper ore in a centrifuge yields ten Copper Powder Refined, each chunk of copper ore will produce two ingots if fully processed and smelted.

Glass
GlassGlass is crafted in a furnace from either sand or Silicon Powder Refined.

SandWhen made from sand, each piece of sand yields a single piece of glass.

SiliconGlass may also be made by crushing Silicon into Crushed Stone, and refining the Crushed Stone into Silicon Powder Refined. Finally, the Silicon Powder Refined may be smelted into glass using any furnace. Using this method, each piece of Silicon yields ten pieces of Glass.

Gold
Gold IngotGold is crafted by smelting Gold Powder Refined, which is obtained from crushing iron or copper ore and refining the powder in a centrifuge. It takes five Gold Powder Refined to craft a single gold ingot.
Iron
Iron Ore is obtained from basic mining, or using an Ore Extractor. The easiest, but least efficient, way to craft iron ingots is to use iron ore in any type of furnace. When smelted directly, one piece of ore yields one ingot. However, if the ore is crushed and then refined in a centrifuge, each chunk of ore yields enough powder for two iron ingots, along with powders of titanium dioxide, silver, and gold.

Powdered Iron OreWhen crushed, each chunk of iron ore produces one Powdered Iron Ore. When placed in a centrifuge, each Powdered Iron Ore produces:
  • 10 Iron Powder Refined
  • 5 Powder of Titanium Dioxide
  • 3 Silver Powder Refined
  • 1 Gold Powder Refined

Iron Powder Refined5x Iron Powder Refined may be smelted to create an iron ingot. Since crushing and processing iron ore in a centrifuge yields ten Iron Powder Refined, each chunk of Iron Ore will produce two ingots if fully processed and smelted.

Lead
Lead IngotLead is crafted by smelting Lead Powder Refined, which is obtained from crushing copper ore and refining the powder in a centrifuge. It takes five Lead Powder Refined to craft a single lead ingot.

A Melting Furnace or better is required to smelt lead.
Rubber
RubberRubber is crafted by melting Resin in a campfire or furnace. Resin is obtained by cutting down trees.
Silicon Wafer
Silicon WaferSilicon Wafers come in two varieties: Silicon Wafer Low Quality and Silicon Wafer.

SiliconSilicon Wafer Low Quality is the result of melting Silicon in a Melting Furnace (or furnace of higher quality). To create the more advanced Silicon Wafer, crush Silicon or Stone into Crushed Stone and refine in a centrifuge. The result is a combination of Concrete Mix and Silicon Powder Refined. Pressing Silicon Powder Refined in a press yields Silicon Wafers.
Silver
Silver IngotSilver is crafted by smelting Silver Powder Refined, which is obtained from crushing iron or copper ore and refining the powder in a centrifuge. It takes five Silver Powder Refined to craft a single silver ingot.
Steel
Steel IngotSteel is the result of smelting Steel Powder or Steel Powder Refined.

Steel PowderSteel Powder is available from the crafting menu (no workbench needed) and requires two Powdered Iron Ore and two Powdered Coal Ore. This is the least efficient way to obtain Steel.

By refining Powdered Iron Ore and Powdered Coal Ore in a centrifuge, you may obtain two Steel Powder Refined for just one Iron Powder Refined and one Coal Powder Refined. This method yields the most Steel.

Steel may only be smelted in a Furnace or Industrial Furnace.
Titan
Titan IngotTitan is crafted using the following steps:

  1. Crush Iron Ore to obtain Powdered Iron Ore.
  2. Refine Powdered Iron Ore in a centrifuge to obtain Powder of Titanium Dioxide.
  3. Refine Powder of Titanium Dioxide in an Electrolyzer or Industrial Electrolyzer to create Titan Powder Refined.
  4. Smelt Titan Powder Refined in an Industrial Furnace to create Titan Ingots.
Titan Plate may only be crafted from Titan Ingots in an Industrial Pressing.
Uranium
Uranium OreUranium Ore is collected by Ore Extractors and is not found through basic mining. Uranium Ore may be crushed to produce Powder Uranium Ore which, in turn, may be refined in a centrifuge to produce Uranium Powder Refined.

Currently, uranium may not be smelted into ingots and it is not used in any crafting recipes.
Water
Bottle WaterBottle Water is used to quench the player's thirst and prevents death from dehydration.

Bottle EmptyTo craft Bottle Water, dirty water must first be collected using an empty bottle. To accomplish this, craft Bottle Empty at any workbench and equip it to the toolbar and select it. Wade into a body of water until you have the option to interact with the water and fill the bottle.

Bottle Dirt WaterAn empty bottle filled with lake or ocean water becomes Bottle Dirt Water. The dirt water may be purified using the heat from a campfire or furnace, or by using a distiller.

When water is purified with heat, half of the water is lost in the process. Two Bottle Dirt Water in a campfire or furnace will produce one Bottle Water and one Bottle Empty.

Water purified in a distiller is more efficient than purifying with heat. Each Bottle Dirt Water placed in a distiller yields one Bottle Water.

Well, can't figure out how to get the geothermal generators to bring energy back to the base. Pretty lame. There was just a big update too, so I'm not sure what's going on. There used to be "wires" between the wire connectors you could use to run energy from generators, but the wires are apparently broken.

This should be turned into a wiki. I'd like just finished 100% of the achievements and would like to add a few things. For example, you need the industrial crusher and centrifuge to work Uranium which is required in some flying vehicles. The Geothermal generators are awesome. I made some shears and chased sheep for their wool. I made a jetpack, but never did figure out how to fly with it. During the day at the crash site, there is a survivor who is also a vendor. I bought a medic kit.
Make at least 2 of the huge batteries, 2 Geothermal generators, and 2 or 3 Ore extractors. Only need one Oil Extractor. Hint: if you leave stuff in the crusher/centrifuge... it will stack a lot higher than normal.
