Sorcery 1 challenges
Solve the riddle of Daddu-Ley: From the gates of Analand, head south towards the cliffs of Daddu-Ley. Cast FAL while on top of the cliff, and head down. Once you've finished your encounter in Dadu-Ley, cast TOP to go back up the cliff. When you first go down the cliff you can find clues about the spell you need to cast to head back up, but you don't need to find them all to cast the spell.

TOP is a spell that comes back in later parts of Sorcery, but you don't need to learn it here to cast it later.

Be cursed by a spirit: Go into the elvin village that lies west of Cantopani / north of the Analand gate. Avoid the center of the village, and explore the huts instead. One of the huts has two chests in it - the left one contains a spirit that will curse you if you don't use the MAG spell in time.

Meet a man with an identical twin: If you go west / left from Cantopani and pass through / past the elvin village, you'll meet a bridge keeper on the bridge over the river. Supposedly, he has a twin running the inn in Kristatanti, but I never managed to meet him.

Be eaten to death by bats: From Dhumpus, go west (past the plague village) towards the bridge of Vancass. Fail to answer his riddles, then try to barge into his hut.

Collect 5 Giant's teeth: Buy a bag of "creature's teeth" in Cantopani. Go north / up from Kristatanti, into the ruined Lia-Ki. Go into the giant's cave, search it, kill the giant and pry out his teeth.

Survive the fields of the Black Lotus: Save Alianna (in the forest between Kristatanti and Dhumpus) from her cage, and ask for a reward of magic. The reward will include some nose plugs, which you can use to pass through the Black Lotus fields.

Kill Jann the Minimite: Passing through the Black Lotus fields sorta counts, probably? I haven't found a more direct way to kill him.

Set off, and survive, all three traps in the Manticore's maze in a single run: If you've successfully completed Vancass's riddles, turns NOT to the left will lead you to a trap. If you haven't, the turns are randomized, but you can always turn back if you see a pile of stones (indicating that you're on the correct path). You should LAW the serpents, DOP the door, and FOF / run ahead of the flood.

Complete the game without a single fight (except for the tutorial sparring match): This one is fairly simple. First of all, you need to accept the "magic" reward when you save Alianna (see the "Survive the fields of the Black Lotus" challenge above). Use the nose plugs to go through the Black Lotus fields, and avoid the fight with Flanker. Now there's only one mandatory fight for you to worry about - the Manticore. A simple way to defeat it without a fight is to cast DOZ, YOB, POP and POP again. If you've already encountered it in the Jaiker mines below the bridge of Vancass and hit it with a HOT spell, it will be damaged and easier to kill.

Collect more than seventy Gold Pieces: 24 gold pieces given by the Sightmaster at the start of the game. Obviously don't use any to buy supplies (though you can steal the potion from the merchant in Cantopani. Also, see below). Sleep in the open, scrounge free meals whenever possible (honey from the bee hive, bomba fruit from talking to the old man in Kristatanti, payment for digging in Dhumpus, pity ale in Glandragor's tavern, prison meal from the Swinns). Head North from the gate of Analand, slay the snake in the grass and cut it open to find 3 GP. You can backtrack to Cantopani or Daddu-Ley from the snake encounter. Head east into the Schanker mines, open the right door, and kill the ogre to snatch two gems - the Swinn chieftain will trade them for 24 gold pieces during the endgame AND give you ten GP of his own money if you've been nice. Head north from Kristatanti into the ruins of Lia-Ki, slay the giant and pry out his tongue - you'll find 8 GP and Glandragor in Birritanati will buy the tongue for 4 GP. Talk to the merchant in Dhumpus about employment opportunities and dig a latrine for 3 GP. Avoid the bridge of Vancass, pass through the valley below, emerge near a Troll's hut and search the blankets within, after avoiding or killing the troll - 3 GP. Slay Flanker after defeating him - 3 GP.

A total of 82 GP on one path. If you wait to be introduced to the Cantopani merchant, you can haggle down the price of Glandragor's axe, buy a flute / bag of teeth, avoid slaying Flanker, and still end the game with more than 70 GP.
Sorcery 2 challenges
Rig the fight in Dwarftown: The fight between the pixie and the imp. This one depends on how much you've done before arriving in Dwarftown - you can rig the fight if you haven't spent all day strolling through the city beforehand, but rushed towards Dwarftown instead.

Go bald: Buy and drink the mystery potion in Dwarftown. Worth it for the skill increase.

Burn down the market: Enter the handless artist's hut, and cast HOT whenever you have the chance. Alternately, cast HOT at the rug-merchant.

Meet Vik the Slaver: You have to import a save from Sorcery 1 in which you gave Glandragor his axe and was told about Vik. Get captured by the slave traders (most any attempt to sleep outside before you cross the river / getting drunk in Wayfarers Rest will get you there), then call the guards and demand to speak to Vic, saying you're a friend of Glandragor.

Edit - Apparently, if you don't have that info from Sorcery 1, NPCs like the old man in the prison may reveal the connection.

Buy the Legendary Sword? Or better still, buy it twice: South of Lorag's home, in the eastern part of the city, you'll meet a blacksmith. Purchase his "Large-handed sward" for 40 GP (worth it). You'll be able to sell the sword for a fair profit at the marketplace just south of where the smith is, and buy the sword again when you loop around.

Collect more than a hundred and fifty Gold Pieces: Gamble a lot. Swindlestones, bet on the boxing match at the festival (and fight yourself), rob the statue near the halls of Vlada (find out about its weakness, have the Legendary sword at hand or cast MUD), sell the Legendary sword, and most obviously, gamble in the halls of Vlada.

Meet the Goblin King - and incite a Goblin revolt against him: Drop into the sewers in the wastelands / cemetary. Fight the goblins, and end a fight at 6 stamina or less. You will be captured and brought before the goblin king. Most anything you do will result in a revolt.

Steal gems and jewels from the God Courga: I'm not sure what opens this option. Have a very negative alignment?

Meet the founder of the City of Kharé: Any unsuccessful first-time attempt to open the Khare gates should allow you to meet him.

Collect the Green-Haired Wig, the Cloth Skullcap, the Bracelet of Bone and the Gold-backed Mirror in a single run-through? (And we mean, a single one!):

You should have bought the cloth skullcap in Dhumpus, in Sorcery 1. If not, killing the Svinn Chainmaker below the Festival of Thieves or winning a game of Swindlestones against the Red-Eye you meet after you first cross the bridge into the east part of the city will get you one.

The Green-Haired wig can be found at the Festival of Thieves - enter the "amusing tent" and cast any debilitating spell on the person within. Alternately, after you talk to Lorag, he will invite you to participate in an experiment - cast RAP to receive the wig.

Bracelet of Bone: Thieves festival, Hanna's Cabinet of Fortune. Cast TEL to read the creature's mind, and annoy it sufficiently based on the information learned. Also: The Mantis-Man hut between the Flayer's hut (next to the Festival) and the Artists Market.

Gold-Backed mirror: Enter the Flayer's hut north of the Festival. DIM or trick the creature to rob the place. Alternately, zoom out a bit when you enter Lorag's mansion to search his trash and glue the mirror together.

You can also climb to the very top of Courga's temple and cast TAK. If you "just grab", you'll receive a random magic item. Waiting for a specific color of sparks will get you:
Green - green wig. Black - black facemask. Gold - mirror or Sun Jewel. White - bone bracelet.
Bonus items:

Black facemask - if you spend a night in prison when you first enter the city, you'll find a body with a black facemask on it as you leave the prison. If you enter the Black Elve's opium den on the road to Dwarftown, one random outcome is a fit of rage that will result in you slaughtering the elves and looting a facemask. Vangorn the poisoner will give you a facemask if you drink his poison, then claim to be a friend of Vic's.

Sun Jewel - upper Khare, just north of Lorag's mansion (on a wall adjacent to the RedEye prison). You'll spot a glint on the wall - cast BIG to get it THEN keep casting FAL to get multiple copies. (Doesn't work in the latest versions of the game)

Hahaha! Man, he really is hard to kill, huh? I wonder how you do it. If I find the answer, I'll let you know.

Nah, that one just banishes him.

Oh, I think I must have triggered the chance to kill Jann in my playthrough, but didn't go through with it. Names are approximate, I've only played through once, so I don't remember them all. But on the path east of the gate, I met an old man and helped him down from being stuck in a tree. He gave me a page of a spellbook that had the last letter missing. Later, when I went to talk to the old lady who's house powered the healing waterfall, I ended up drinking her poison tea, and she gave me an antidote when she noticed that I had her stolen spell page. As a reward, she offered to tell me the spell, saying that she'd demonstrate it's pest-removing capibilities by using it on Jann, LOL. I declined.

in the mobile version i've been playing, hannas has been reliable at giving bamboo flutes by random guessing of anger calls to the point of black rage.

" I'm reasonably sure that you can't get the holy water for a RES spell in Sorcery1-2, even in New Game+". You don't get to cast the spell until Sorcery 3.

i know it's moulas's corpse, i found the piece of paper too, but how do you get the res spell?
Xander77  [autor] 26. led. 2017 v 12.45
Do you mean the corpse? It's Second Noble Moulas. You can get a part of his line by defeating the corpse (SIX is an easy way to do so) and checking its throat. I'm reasonably sure that you can't get the holy water for a RES spell in Sorcery1-2, even in New Game+.

what do you do with the guy on the street?
Ργη|mcduikerman99 26. led. 2017 v 11.30
yeah, me neither
