Team Fortress 2 is filled with players who just want to 'chill'. These people are labeled as "friendlies." The most popular friendly is the "Hoovy." The Hoovy is a very distinct creature who loves to brighten up people's day. This guide will run down the basics of a Hoovy, and the different breeds of a Hoovy.

The Basics of a Hoovy

A hoovy can be classified as a very kind and playful creature, but when provoked, a hoovy can be your worst nightmare. A hoovy's interest depends on it's breed, but they all have 1 thing in common... they love to have parties and get-togethers. It is best to leave them alone, unless you want to join the fun!

The Sand'vich Hoovy

The most popular and in my opinion, my favorite breed of hoovy. These hoovys like to crouch and have sand'vich parties with all their friends. Possibly the friendliest of the species, aswell as the most trusted.

Sand'vich Hoovy Loadout
Primary: Usually, the sand'vich hoovy uses the tomislav minigun, but any minigun is fine considering you won't be using it all that much.
Secondary: The sand'vich. This is essential to being a sand'vich hoovy
Melee: Anything that looks cute. I usually use the holiday punch and the ham shank.

Danger level when provoked: Ranged
Temper: Low

Favorite Cosmetic: Tough Guy's Toque

The Bear hoovy

The hoovy best equipped for battle. You don't want to start a fight with a bear hoovy, because once it starts, that it for you. This hoovy knows how to defend itself.

Bear hoovy Loadout:
Primary: Anything will do.
Secondary: Buffalo Steak Sandvich.
Melee: Warrior's Spirit.

Danger level when provoked: High
Temper: High

Favorite Cosmetic: Bear Necessities

The Pootis Bird

The personalities of the Pootis Bird can be diverse. Some can be hostile, but many are actually quite friendly. The most confusing friendly.

Pootis Bird Loadout
Primary: Default
Secondary: Sand'vich
Melee: Default

Danger level when provoked: Ranged
Temper: Ranged

Favorite cosmetic: Chicken Kiev

The Hoovy's Enemys

These people absolutely hate friendlies, especially hoovys. Tryhards and f2p's. Now, not all f2p's are bad. Just the ones who recently got the game and don't know what friendlies are. In their mind, they think: shoot anything that moves.

Tryhard and F2P Loadout:
Primary: Anything
Secondary: anything
Melee: anything

Danger level when provoked: High
Temper: High

Favorite Cosmetic (Tryhards): Anything from unusuals to vintages.
Favorite Cosmetic (F2P): Gibus and Pyrovision goggles.

Also a little something extra. I made this spray for when I play as a sand'vich hoovy for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. Feel free to use it!

Also, make sure to be a hoovy at appropriate times. Being a hoovy on idle, trade, or custom servers in general is OK, but being a hoovy in a pub can be quite annoying for your team.
