Introduction

The mouse is arguably the single most important peripheral in a player's arsenal of gear. Having a good mouse usually equates to a performance boost in your gameplay.

Going from an office mouse to a tier 1 gaming mouse can be game changing and will often result in drastically improved aim.

The sensor of a mouse is the core of all gaming mice. The following sensors are the best in the market and are extremely accurate and can withstand extreme movement with deadly precision.

PMW 3366
PMW 3360
PMW 3310
Avago S3989
Avago S3988

Additionally, most great gaming mice have Omron switches which feel great and are very responsive.

For CS:GO a lot of buttons are not beneficial. These are some of the factors a good mouse for CS:GO should have:

-Omron Switches
-High Quality Sensor
-Ergonomic Shape (different for all people)
-Solid Build Quality
-Appropriate Weight (different for all people)

The following are the mice I will be covering in this guide...

Tier 1

SteelSeries Rival 300 // Slightly Heavy

Logitech G303 // Light // Odd Shape

Logitech G502 // Flawless Sensor // Highest Quality // Adjustable Weights // Heavy

Razer DeathAdder Chroma/2013 // Universally Loved Shape

Final Mouse 2016 // Gimmick Free // Light

Mionix Castor // Well Rounded

All Zowie Mice

Tier 2

SteelSeries Rival 100 // Simple // Economic

Honorable Mentions

COUGAR 450M // Ambidextrous // PMW 3310 (Tier 1 Sensor)

Rapoo V300 // Budget Choice // Very Well Built

-Tactile Side Buttons
-Slightly Spongy Mouse1 & Mouse2

Personal Thoughts:
Personally, I think the design is slick and attractive and the fade edition looks great too. If you have a big hand, you should seriously consider purchasing this mouse. However, I prefer Omron switches for Mouse1 and Mouse 2, compared to the SteelSeries switches. I would recommend this to anyone with a big hand and don't mind a slightly heavy mouse.

Customer Reviews:
-Odd Shape
-Slights Loud Mousewheel

Personal Thoughts:
I can provide an in-depth review on this mouse as this is the main mouse I use at the moment. Throughout my months of usage, I can confidently say that I absolutely love it. However, it's defenitely not for all people. It's odd diamond shape is different from most other mice and may take a while to get used to. Especially, users with bigger hands may want to stay away from this mouse. Now that we have went through the negative sides, there are a number of positive sides of this mouse. Firslty, it uses the best sensor in the market the PMW 3366. It's light and great for people with small to average sized hands. The switches on this mouse is outstanding and the light and small shape makes it easy to maneuver.

Professional CS:GO Players That Use Logitech G502:
N/A

Customer Reviews:
-Bulky

Personal Thoughts:
The G502 is a mouse built with quality in mind. However, because of the plethora of features especially in the front portion of the mouse, the mouse is quite heavy. Additionally, there aren't a lot of mainstream professional players that use this mouse. Most likely because it is bulky and heavy. However, I personally know a lot of high ranked players that use the G502 and play very well. Additionally, a couple of famous CS:GO YouTubers use the G502. The hyper-fast scrolling feature lets you scroll with very low friction, which many have said to be a crucial feature for productivity uses. This mouse is an excellent multi-purpose mouse. If CS:GO is a hobby and you do a lot of web surfing, productivity related tasks and play a wide range of other games, the G502 is a mouse you should consider purchasing.
Razer DeathAdder Chroma/2013

Professional CS:GO Players That Use Razer Deathadder Chroma/2013:
Hiko (Team Liquid)
s1mple (Team Liquid)
nitr0 (Team Liquid)
shox (Team G2 Esports)
dev1ce (Team Astralis)
SmithZz (Team G2 Esports)
kennyS (Team EnVyUs)

Customer Reviews:
-After couple months of use left/right click becomes faulty, usually clicks twice or thrice.
-Razer Firmware may be annoying (updates/login)

Personal Thoughts:
The Razer Deathadder 2013/Chroma is a mouse I would personally recommend for any right handed users in the market for a new mouse. It's all around up to par with every other quality mouse and most deathadder users will argue that the deathadder's shape is unrivaled to any other mouse in the market. Furthermore, the quality and fanbase is backed up with the usage of many professional players.

steel
ScreaM (Team G2 Esports)
mOE (Team Echo Fox)
tabseN (Team PENTA Sports)
keev (Team ALTERNATE aTTaX)

Customer Reviews:
-May Be Uncomfortable
-Unpleasant & Bright Lighting

Personal Thoughts:
Final Mouse is a fairly new brand in the gaming mice industry. However, their vision and mission seems to be headed towards the right direction. Their aim is to create a mouse that is gimmick free and easy to use for professional esports players, specifically CS:GO. It may be an ideal choice for professional players but for someone who does not play in leagues, it may not be the best choice, especially for the price. The polling rate is fixed on 500hz and there is no software for binds which makes the phrase, "gimmick free" seem more like an excuse to not invest on extra features that gamers use. If you go to LANs on a regular basis and never use the software, the final mouse may be a good choice as several professional players seem to enjoy it.
Mionix Castor

Distinct Features:
-Premium Quality
-Palm Grip ✔
-Finger Grip ✔
-Claw Grip ✔

Price: $69.99

Important Technical Specification:
Sensor: PMW 3310
Weight: 93.8g (exc. cable) // 141.5g (inc. cable)
Compatibility: Windows
Buttons: 2xLeft // DPI Shift // Mouse3
Switches: Omron Switches
Side Grip: Rubber
Cable: Braided

Professional CS:GO Players That Use Mionix Castor:
N/A

Customer Reviews:
-Side Grip Attracts Dust
-Low Height For Scroll Wheel

Personal Thoughts:
The Mionix Castor is it a bit of a wild card in the esports mice industry. Every part of the mouse is premium and I personally love the aesthetics. On paper, it seems like an amazing mouse, however, it has not been tested by a professional CS:GO player. I would love to actually try this mouse out and honestly I doubt you could go wrong with this mouse. If you have tried other mice and want to try out something new this mouse may be your next best choice.
All Zowie Mice
Currently, we do not have enough knowledge or experience on Zowie mice. However, according to many sources, many love Zowie mice and the quality of all the components seem to be top notch. Especially since there are many different models, you can find the one perfect for you. if you are able to get your hands on a sample from the store or from a friend, and you like it, that specific zowie may be a fine choice for you.

Professional CS:GO Players That Use Zowie Mice:
f0rest (Team Ninjas In Pyjamas) - Zowie EC2-A
seized (Team Natus Vincere) - Zowie EC2-A
FugLy (Team Counter Logic Gaming) - Zowie EC1
Happy (Team EnVyUs) - Zowie EC2 eVo
FalleN (Team Luminosity) - EC1-A
kioShiMa (N/A) - ZA12
aizy (FaZe Clan) - FK1
coldzera (Team Luminosity) - ZA12
SteelSeries Rival 100

Distinct Features:
-Economic
-Finger Grip ✔
-Claw Grip ✔

Price: $39.99

Important Technical Specification:
Sensor: SDNS-3059-SS
Weight: 120g (inc. cable)
Compatibility: Windows // Mac
Buttons: 2xLeft // DPI Shift // Mouse3
Switches: SteelSeries Switches
Side Grip: Plastice
Cable: Rubber

Professional CS:GO Players That Use SteelSeries Rival 100:
Kairi (Team gBots)
dupreeh (Team Astralis)

Customer Reviews:
-Good But Not Great

Personal Thoughts:
With a safe shape and all around decent parts, this mouse is a concrete option. However, it's not the best. It doesn't have the best sensor, it doesn't have outstanding build quality or anything else about it is amazing. If you are on a tight budget or play CS:GO just for fun, this mouse may be a great option for you.
Summary
Tier 1

Choose...SteelSeries Rival 300 if you prefer SteelSeries switches compared to Omron switches. Keep in mind the Rival 300 is slightly heavier than some other options like the G303 or Final Mouse 2016. If you have a medium - large hand, this is a solid choice.

Choose...Logitech G303 if you like light mice. This mouse is light and small. This is the mouse I currently use and after getting used to the shape, this mouse worked great for me. However, you must try out the shape before purchasing the mouse, the diamond shape may be too awkward for some people. I hold this mouse diagonally because gripping it diagonally fits my hands on the mouse shape perfectly. If you have a small - medium sized hand, this is a solid choice.

Choose...Logitech G502 if you aim well with bulky, heavy mice. Additionally, if you are regularly on Reddit or doing other tasks that require a lot of scrolling, the hyper-fast scroll feature on this mouse is a fan favorite. Furthermore, this mouse is all around top quality with adjustable weights.

Choose...Razer DeathAdder Chroma/2013 if you enjoy slightly bigger mice. There isn't any specific part of the DeathAdder Chroma/2013 to point out since every part of this mouse is top quality. Additionally, many argue that the responsiveness and shape on this mouse is unrivaled to any other mice. If you have a medium - large hand, this is a solid choice.

Choose...Final Mouse 2016 if you regularly attend LANs or need an on the fly mouse. This mouse is light. A couple of things to note is that this mouse does not have any software, the polling rate is fixed on 500hz and DPI can be changed using the DPI change button on the mouse. Any hand size seems to work with this mouse.

Choose...Mionix Castor if you are feeling a bit adventurous. On paper, this mouse seems to be premium quality in every end. It's well built and most people have given positive feedback. Any hand size seems to work with this mouse.

Choose...Any Zowie Mice after doing additional research. Many professional players and other mice experts have spoken very highly of Zowie Mice. The EC2-A seems like the fan favorite. The EC1-A is the slightly bigger version of the EC2-A. Purchasing any of those two depending on your hand size should provide you nothing less than excellence.

Tier 2

Choose...SteelSeries Rival 100 if you are in a slight budget. Even though this mouse is not top quality nor have a top sensor, a couple of professionals use it. It may be because of the safe shape or simply since they are used to the Rival lineup and the Rival 300 is a bit too heavy for their liking.

Honorable Mentions

Choose...COUGAR 450M if the other Tier 1 options are either unavailable in your region or they are overpriced. The Cougar 450M is a great mouse, and if it is the only non-overpriced mouse in your region, it's not a bad choice at all. Hypothetically, if you had $70 and in your region the Cougar 450M is $40 and the Rival 300 is $70, i would personally go with the Cougar 450M and use the extra $30 on a mousepad or save that money to upgrade another peripheral at a later date.

Choose...Rapoo V300 if CS:GO is second priority. If you do not play CS:GO daily for hours, this mouse is very comfortable and is good quality in general. Additionally, for players in a budget or just play this game casually, this mouse will serve you well.
Excellent YouTube Channel For First Person Shooter Peripheral Reviews

I highly recommend watching Rocket Jump Ninja's videos. His videos are in-depth and he has played first person shooters for a very long time. He has reviewed a wide range of mice making his reviews objective and trustable. His mouse reviews have helped me a bunch in the process of creating this guide.

*i have never been contacted by him or sponsored by anyone to recommend this youtube channel. I simply believe that his videos are outstanding quality and need more attention.

I picked up a Logitech G502 yesterday at sale, for only around 38$. Worth it, however have problems with it because of me usually using palm grip. First and second game I bottomfragged (and lost my rank because I was stupid enough to play competetive XD). But I'm getting used to it and I'll keep it (I think).
