Firstly to understand how to fight one must have played Mount&Blade...
So if u havent played M&B before I strongly suggest buying it while on sale and play it for atleast a couple of hours. Every death will help in the long run.
Most if not all tactics and fighting styles from this game can be transfered onto this games pvp system.

Appying this to LIF? u may ask, its simple backpedal if they attack first and vice versa.
Whats backpedal mean?

Simple it walking backwards while fighting and doing simple blocks and/or baiting a player into believing he is going to win and for example when transfered to Life is feudal equals moving backwards or around aggressor while remaining out of the reach of his attacks.

This tactic of backpedal requires some experience in M&B so again I advise to watch people back pedal online e.g. youtube or ingame M&B.

The use of this will eventually forces the player to become reckless in their attacks by wasting soft stamina and therefore leaving u with all ur stamina.

Next stage after u get used to the players actions u can act accordingly and attack using ur max weapon reach e.g head of a broad axe. or suddenly closing in after his strike missed and slash with a one handed weap this also works with shields and a simple knights sword.

Although this tactic is really effective it can be hard to master with inexperience and you will only improve by fighting and getting used to stamina system and learning weaps reaches when fighting.
Also to note this tactic is best used in third person. As this allows an better view and can more easily see how ur weapon swings and its max range.

Back pedal player vs another back pedal?

simple learn his movements, fake rushes and then strike while his attack missed.
rinse and repeat.

Any Questions and stuff i missed please feel free to comment and even ask me to show on m&b.
sry no pics i jsut feel they dont help since i would have to manually print screen like more than 20.

Plate armour vs Blunt/Peircing is all GG. Maces, Cudgel, Morning star, War Pick, Maul etc will all destroy plate. Even a sling will rek plate.

Equipment sets?
First and most effective
  • Mail Armour or naked if prefered. While going naked might prove being a noob or experienced this is harder and generally will only take 2 hits to die from 2 handed weaps and u wil laste longer with protection on even if just chest, head, arms.
  • Plate Armour most effective vs all types of damage. but weights heavier and if u dont have the right stats can slow u down more but only by a bit. This is going to work best with a shield and sword with poison on.
  • Any Armour still effective and generally for looks and for preference. Helps with Rp and other aspects of the game while fighting with psychological warfare e.g lookin scary.

Basic stuff really any comments be helpfull.

fighting naked is risky, 2 hits off any weapon and you're guarenteed death. Chainmail is an anti slashing armour, if also works well against blunt damage. Beleieve it or not the best way of downing a mailed player is a good heavy bolt from any crossbow.

Scale armour is great against any form of blunt or peircing damage, slashing has a weird effect that allows it to induce greater bleed chance... Odd right?

Padded is considerably lighter than Leather armour, both are pretty pathetic, however padded has a hidden talent at beating peircing damage, basicaly Gambeson. Leather also has a strange benefit against slashing, I tested slashing against both and leather seemed to hold out longer.

Weakness of Armour:

Chainmail: HEAVY Peircing Weapons
Padded: Slashing, Blunt Weapons
Scale: Slashing and Possibly Peircing Weapons
Plate: Heavy Blunt, Peiricng Weapons
Leather: Peircing, Blunt Weapons
