NOTE: This version is outdated. It works just fine, but has a rather large file size that I'm unable to do anything about. I have a newer version with a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller file size now:

Disables weaksauce Continent Bonuses. I was sick of getting "Recruits cost less", "+5 Avenger Power", or "+33% Supplies on things sold to the Black Market" when I'd MUCH rather work towards additional Upgrade slots, faster research, more supplies, or even reusable upgrades.

I'm not the best modder, I just fired up the Dev Tools, found the proper source file, and commented out all the bonuses that make me cringe.

Unfortunately, you'll have to start a new game for this to work as I don't know how to do the coding necessary to reset the continent bonuses for an in-progress game. And they are still, of course, randomly assigned.

Bonuses that are still left active are:
-Future Combat
-Lock N Load
-Armed to the Teeth
-Fire When Ready
-Spare Parts
-Suit Up
-All In


If you use the Advanced Modular Weapons mod, simply load this one after it and it should remove Armed to the Teeth as normal.

I'll look into cutting out some of the un-needed crap when I get a chance. I just used whatever the "default" mod setting was in the dev tools and I have a feeling that just plopped copies of a ton of un-needed stuff everywhere.

The bits I actually modified were in X2StrategyContinentBonuses area.

Thank you for making this. I fooled around with it trying to do the exact same thing, but couldn't get it working (first time playing with mod tools, zero experience). Really happy to run a "perfect" compaign run with fun bonuses to make completely covering the globe worth it.

Also, which file did you overwrite? It's not seperated into it's own folder (ContinentBonusesImproved\Classes) so your edit is in the XComGame script.

Could you remove the XComGame SRC folder. That's an extra 19mb you don't need. You also left in the script for the whole game so that's an additional 38mb

I only wish I had this before I started my last game as I seem to have every continent which rubbish bonuses. I think there is only one useful one on the map and that is Spare Parts.
