Saints Row IV 100% Completion: How To Achieve It
由 GeoLuz 發表
This guide explains how to achieve 100% completion for Saints Row IV. I have tried to find strategy guides that explain how to reach 100%, but I haven't found one. The 100% completion must show on the save file. This guide explains what is required and what is not required to reach 100% completion. This guide does not explain how to attain all achievements. There is a separate Steam strategy guide just for attaining all achievements.

Screenshot Of 100% Save File

Notice that the screenshot shows 45 missions completed. There is a lot of confusion over how many missions there really are, but that's because an individual quest may count as 3 missions completed. For example, Punch Shark the final story quest, counts as 3 missions completed. I remember having 42 missions completed on the screen of my save file before starting the Punch Shark mission. The difference between primary quests and missions is explained in the next section of this guide.
Items Required To Be Completed For 100% Completion
The following items need to completed in order to attain 100% game completion:
  • Missions
  • Activities
  • Diversions
  • Challenges
  • Collectibles

    Missions

There is a distinction between primary quests and missions. Primary quests are quests that are necessary to advance the main storyline. They are split into missions. The missions are assigned when you choose a primary quest. This means that each quest may contain multiple missions to complete. You can complete one mission in the quest, save your game, and take on the next mission at another time. In the meantime you can take on side quests that may have been unlocked by the completed missions. I noticed a percentage increase after completing one mission of the quest and there was at least one mission remaining in that quest. There are 30 missions in the table in the next section of this guide, excluding activities. There are also 7 loyalty missions assigned by Homies that must be completed for 100% completion. The reward for completing each loyalty mission is a super homie who can join you when you call them on the phone for backup. The super homie is a more powerful version of the homie who assigned you the loyalty mission.

    Activities

Activities are a form of entertainment that test your time or test your ability to chain combos in order to maximize your cash. They are integrated with some main story missions and many side missions, unlike activities in Saints Row: The Third.

Earning a Bronze medal is necessary only for completing the activities. Failing to earn a Bronze medal results in failure. The activities are divided into easy, medium and hard. The hard activities will take quite a bit of practice in order to earn a Gold medal. You will have to earn a Gold medal for all activities in order to achieve 100% completion.

    Diversions

Diversions, like activities, are integrated with some main story missions and many side missions. They involve hacking stores, rushing to hotspots to delete virus programs known as flashpoints protected by Zin troops, upload viruses while battling waves of enemies, assassinate targets, and climbing towers that are originally red, but turn blue once your reach their apex. Hacking stores requires you to connect nodes together in limited time using a remote access node without sounding the alarm. After hacking one store, it unlocks and you can shop for weapon upgrades and ammo. Playing all side missions available will require you to play these diversions.

    Challenges

Challenges require you to reach a certain number of kills of Zin aliens with specific weapons, reach a certain number of kills of a specific type of alien, drive a certain distance over time with specific vehicles, earn silver medals for specific activities, gold medals for specific activities, etc. You are required to complete 65 challenges, but you will get credit for completing 66 challenges by completing the 65 challenges. In addition, you will get the Challenge King achievement. The following screenshot shows the "Quest" section that you need to visit to keep track of your challenges.

The next screenshot shows a partial list of challenges:

The next screenshot shows completion of each challenge:

    Collectibles

Collectibles are various types of items scattered all over the maps of the Simulation. They include data clusters, audio logs, text adventures, and Zinyak statues. Data clusters are everywhere on the map and can be found on the ground, on walls, on rooftops, and in the air. There are 1255 of them and they are the most numerous collectibles in the game. Data clusters are divided into single clusters, blast clusters, triple data clusters, telekinesis clusters, and stomp clusters. Be sure to keep track of how many clusters you have collected by checking the "Stats" section of the Hub menu. Shown below are screenshots of the various types of data clusters.

The next screenshot shows how many collectibles I had on the map by the end of the game.

The map shows 1022/1040 collectibles by the time I achieved 100% completion. That's because the remaining 18 collectibles are from the "How The Saints Save Christmas" DLC.

Collectibles

The following screenshots display the various types of data clusters:

Single data cluster found by climbing one of the 3 towers.

Finding data clusters using the flying super power is more efficient than driving around the Simulation.

Triple clusters at the top of a tower.

You need the freeze blast super power to collect that cluster on the wall.

You need the telekinesis super power to blow up the sphere and collect that cluster.

You need the stomp super power to stomp on that cluster and collect it.

Audio logs are logs of important characters in Saints history. There are Saints members and enemies included in the audio logs. Audio logs are collectible according to the character you encounter and will not be collectible until you encounter the appropriate character. There are three audio logs for each character and 39 in total. The collection of audio logs also happens to be one of the 65 challenges.

Text adventures look like small computers that cannot be seen from far away. You will have to be very close to them to notice them. There are 8 text adventures in total.

Zinyak statues can be found all over the Simulation. There are 36 Zinyak statues overall. You must destroy all 36 statues, preferably with an explosive weapon such as a rocket launcher.

You can easily find collectibles on your map after completing Matt Miller's "The Pledge" side mission. You will unlock the collectible finder which will display all collectibles on your mini-map and map. The following screenshot shows the number of data clusters remaining on the map, along with the remaining audio logs related to Cyrus, thanks to the collectible finder.

There are 3 audio logs at the end related to Maero. You will not find these collectibles until after completing the "Kill Kill Destroy Kill" side mission, the final side mission of the game. It requires you to defeat Maero as a target in one of the diversions. These audio logs will appear on the western portion of the map.
Items Not Required For 100% Completion
There have been questions as to what items are not required to complete for the purpose of getting 100% completion. Shown below is a list of items that do not have to be completed for the purpose of getting 100% completion.

  • Genki Holiday Special
  • Naughty and Nice
  • Cat and Mouse Co-op
  • Death Tag Co-op
  • Enter The Dominatrix DLC
  • How The Saints Save Christmas DLC, including collectilbles such as Christmas adventure logs and letters to Santa.

The Genki Holiday Special is a series of activities similar to Prof. Genki's Mind Over Murder. It is a part of the Saints Row IV DLCs and completion of Saints Row IV DLCs do not count towards 100% completion. The Naughty and Nice activity unlocks by playing the "How The Saints Save Christmas" DLC. This activity involves using a sleigh to deliver presents and destroy alien sleighs. I began playing the DLCs after I attained a 100% save file. The "How The Saints Save Christmas" DLC has 18 collectibles that do not count towards 100% completion, as I had explained in the "Items Required For 100% Completion" section.

So Diversion cat & mouse does not count?

trist10,
I assume you have the DLC, like 'How the Saints save X-Mas' and 'Enter the Dominatrix'. There are a few collectibles that will need those missions to be done. They will show a marked down percentage on the map, but will not count against the '100% achievement', because they are DLC ones, and have their own achievements.

And for the X-Mas DLC, the collectibles aren't even on the main map. They are in the mission maps.
Trist10 2020 年 7 月 3 日 上午 5:42
@Wandering Mania I completed all the missions and side missions but they still don't show, i'm so confused.
Wandering Mania 2020 年 6 月 4 日 下午 11:17
@trist10,
There's some that you need to progress the game to get. Try doing that.

My collectibles in 98% completion shows 1022/1040 but there's no collectibles left on the map. Please help?

@Kewl Kids Klub I didn't dedicate much time to mouse and death tag co-op activities since they were not required for 100% completion. For the Genki Holiday Special activity you need to upgrade telekinesis since this type of activity requires throwing objects quickly. As for Naughty and Nice, you don't really need upgrades. You need to practice shooting your airborne vehicle. Btw, Naughty and Nice are part of the "How The Saints Save Christams" DLC, so they have nothing to do with 100% completion of Saints Row IV.

what upgrades did you need for naughty and nice activity, and Genki Holiday Special activity, and cat and mouse co-op activity, and death tag co-op activity?

I remember wondering how I can find the final 3 audio logs in the game. When I finished "Kill Killl Destroy Kill" I finally could see Maero's audio logs in the western part of the map. Thanks for the clarification. Here's another link in which someone had trouble finding Maero's audio logs: https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/missing-audio-logs.4274/
Wandering Mania 2018 年 1 月 2 日 下午 7:10
Yeah that's what I am talking about. That security deletion apperies after you rescue Pierce. So if you have just gotten Pierce on the ship, that mission is availible.

If you are waiting till the "Kill kill Destroy Kill" mission to do it then that is fine, but it is availible before that. As you can still get the 100% if you do all the open world stuff without the missions having to be active. And when you rescue a new homie you can just talk to them a few times and it is an easy quick quest completion.
GeoLuz  [作者] 2018 年 1 月 2 日 下午 6:16
Yes, you have to kill Maero in Pierce's loyalty mission, "Pump Up the Volume." As for Johnny's side mission Kill Kill Destroy Kill, you have to kill Maero again. He appears after disrupting the system like you would in any Security Deletion side mission. I will share with you a GameFaqs link in which someone claims to have had to kill Maero again. Scroll to the end to see what FoxtrotDelta88 experienced, which is exactly what I experienced in trying to access Maero's 3 audio logs. https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/649269-saints-row-iv/67051580
