Rust Best Settings For Good FPS + Visual 「2016」

This Guide for New Rust 2016 helps you to improve your FPS to the best for still decent looking visual graphics.

Best Settings for Good FPS + Visual! By The Only Raichū~

• 1. Go to Steam library
  
• 2. Select Graphics Level "Fast",
  
• 3. Start game
  
• 4. Go to tab Options on top

Under the tab Options, go to the sub-tab Graphics. There, make this sure:

Tick off the following effects:

• Depth of Field
  
• Ambient Occlusion
  
• Anti-Aliasing
  
• High Quality Bloom
  
• Lens Dirt
  
• Sun Shafts
  
• Sharpen (some prefer it on for visual)
  
• Vignet
  
• Color Grading

Change your Quality settings to the following:

• Graphics Quality 1 (Fast)
  
• Water Quality 0
  
• Max Shadow Lights 0
  
• Shader Level 200+ (here: 202)
  
• Draw Distance ~1500 (here:1468)
  
• Shadow Cascades: No Cascades
  
• Shadow Distance 100
  
• Anisotropic Filtering 1
  
• Parallax Mapping 0

Under the tab Options, go to the sub-tab Performance. There, make this sure:

Change your settings to the following:

• Max Gibs 10.000
  
• Virtual Texturing Off/Ticked off
  
• Particle Quality 0
  
• Object Quality 50+ (here: 54)
  
• Tree Quality 25+ (here: 25)
  
• Terrain Quality 25+ (here: 25)
  
• Grass Quality 30+ (here: 38)
  
• Decor Quality 0

Additional notes: Your FPS increase hugely by lowering the resolution, however this is not goal for good visual graphics.

That's it! These settings will ensure you the best possible FPS, without a huge lose of visual graphics. That means as example that you will not see your grass looking terrible unloaded or the ground looking pixelated - and still have good FPS.
