All the new ranks in season 2 (matchmaking), a single picture of proof to those who don't believe the system works, and my personal beliefs to what each ranks mean! NOTE: A NEW ONE IS IN MAKING

Basic Information (about the game, and about me)

As you all know, there are a bunch of new ranks; as Season 2 has started, there are new ones. I found this on the internet (credits to IGN ), and thought i'd share it to fix any queries as to what all the new ranks are. The section about each rank is entirely my ideas, so feel free to tell me if i've got it wrong!

The New Ranks!

The ranks are as follows...

1. Prospect 1 *

* you start at unranked but after 10 games you move up.
** things in bold are new features.

Unranked

When you start playing Rocket League, you will AUTOMATICALLY start unranked- you could've been the highest rank in season 1, but you will always start unranked.

If you are unranked, don't feel bad - we all start there. Literally. All of us.

Prospect 1

Prospect 1 is the first rank (of 14) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the first rank, so you are settling in nicely. You have passed unranked and physically cannot derank! This is not "silver 1" as CSGO scrubs would call it, this is simply the "beginning" of a god.

If you are Prospect 1, you are not bad. You simply just need to play more to rankup.

Prospect 2

Prospect 2 is the second rank (of 14) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the second rank, so you are higher than prospect 1. You have passed unranked, and prospect 1, so you are doing ok! 11 more ranks and you'll be a champion in no time!

If you are Prospect 2, you have started playing more, you just need to keep going and BANG! Prospect 3!

Prospect 3

Prospect 3 is the third rank (of 14) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the third rank, so you are doing well! You have passed unranked, prospect 1, and prospect 2, so you are doing well! 10 ranks and you'll be the highest rank! Not far to go!

If you are prospect 3, you are doing ok. You need to keep going and you'll hit that star!

Prospect Elite

Prospect Elite is the fourth rank (of 14) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the fourth rank, so you are doing great! You have passed unranked, prospect 1, 2, and 3, so you are attacking the ranks! 9 ranks and you're up there with Kronovi and Paschy!

If you are prospect elite, you have hit the first star! yay! You just need to keep ploughing and you'll get into challenger easily.

Challenger 1

Challenger 1 is the fifth rank (of 15) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the fifth rank, so you are smacking dem! You have passed unranked, and all of prospect, so you are pretty much a third down! 9 ranks and you've won the game..

If you are challenger 1, you have beaten almost third of the ranks, and you have done well! 9 to go... until you have hit the highest rank and you can attempt to take on the harder people. Aerials will be needed from here on!

Challenger 2

Challenger 2 is the sixth rank (of 12) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the sixth rank, so you are half way through (in theory)! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, and the first challenger, so you are getting very well in there.

If you are challenger 2, you have beaten more than a third of the ranks, and you have done well! 5 to go... until you can beat the likes of some of the most amazing players; globally..

Challenger 3

Challenger 3 is the seventh rank (of 12) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the seventh rank, so you are now officially past half way through! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, and the first and second challenger, so you are starting to be the best of the best!

If you are challenger 3, you have beaten more than half of the ranks, and you have done well! 4 more until you hit that top spot!

Challenger Elite

Challenger Elite is the eighth rank (of 12) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the eighth rank, so you are now almost in the top 4! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, and the numbered challengers, so you are well and truly owning everyone!

If you are challenger Elite, you have beaten almost 2 thirds of the opponents; at this point you realise you're good, and you're going to need to try in every game.

Rising Star (first of the BIG ones)

Rising Star is the nineth rank (of 12) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the nineth rank, so you are now in the top 4! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, and all of challengers, so you have beaten 2 thirds of the game!

If you are Rising Star, my congrats to you! You are officially awesome! At this point, you need to either have a good team that you understand and play with, or a heavy gut and the ability to carry past this rank! Solo play will eventually get harder!

All-Star

All-Star is the tenth rank (of 12) on Rocket League.
Here, you are the tenth rank, so you are now in the top 3! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, all of challengers, and Rising Star, so you have beaten over 2 thirds of the game!

If you are All-Star, You are truly a Rocketeer; you have officially beaten most players. You are in the top top end of the game now! The game becomes serious now, and messing about will cost you.

Superstar (almost there!)

Superstar is the eleventh rank (of 12) on Rocket League (you're almost there!)
Here, you are the eleventh rank, so you are now in the top 2! You have passed unranked, all of prospect, all of challengers, AND Rising/All Star, so you have beaten almost all of the game!

If you are superstar, credits to you; you either play for a professional team, or play close to- You can mostly hit angles and shots possible, playing the walls, goalkeeper, and center!

Champion (12/12)

*I used the same template for the other ranks, but this rank gets it's own template.. or not.. but..

If you are champion, you are the best of the best, and you officially earn bragging rights!

The picture for champion is http://prntscr.com/a4jio0, a blue circle, with a smaller star engraved, and a ring around it (you'll see if you look at the picture).
