Introduction
Hello, And welcome To The tutorial on the Very first things you need to do when you Get Deathmatch classic in steam. Lets get started. (Don't Froget to Press Apply Everytime you Change a setting. if you changed something by mistake and dont want to take Effect Press Cancel)
Graphical And sound Settings.
Okay. so as known to everyone when you buy/get a game The first thing you do is Set the resolution and Sound. So your in the main menu right?

Great. Now open Options (Duh) You should see this window:

Now before we touch The multiplayer tab, Go in to the Video tab in the same window to get to the Graphical and Video settings. it should look like this:
I recommend Enabling 'enable HD models if availbile'
enable 'Allow custom contect' Only if you want to see Custom Models for example in servers.
The Rest of the settings is up to you, the size of your screen, And your graphic card.

Next up is the Sound. to get to the sound settings Go to the audio Tab which should look like this:
As known. you change the volume of your Game in this tab.
Controls (Keyboard,Mouse)
Controls.. Of cource. How will we play the game with out them then? hehe. Anyway You need to set the Controls of your keyboard and or mouse to the most Comfy way you want. By default it is like most normal computer games: Mouse shoots. wasd to Move space to jump But, there is more than just that of cource.

Mouse controls:
The mouse Sensitivity is the Speed of The movement of your mouse.

if you Enable 'Joystick' Any Controler that is plugged in. Would be able to be used as a mouse. (It does not replace the mouse)

reverse Mouse- Reverse mouse Makes your mouse pretty much reverse. if you move your mouse Up it moves your aim Down. if you move your mouse left. the aim moves Right. thats pretty much it.

Mouse look- if this is ticked (by Default it is) The Mouse Would be Used to Move the aim of the Player's view

Joystick Look-If enabled this will allow the Controler/Joystick you Connected to Move your aim or as far as the image says: "look around with the joystick"

Auto-aim- Not to be confused with AImbot. This Locks on another Player when you Look at him. this will make sure
your aim will Lock on the target as long as you see the enemy. In some Servers there is an Headshot Plugin. But this does not do Automatic-headshots.

Raw mouse input-This means that Controls that Are Set in the mouse Will be Used in the controls. it is in default Not enabled.

Keyboard controls: Now go to the 'Keyboard' tab in the options the tab should look like
this:
This is the Keyboard controls tab. You Can change your Controls. You can also Set Controls for a Joystick/Controler. Set the keys to the most Comfortable settings. they are Automaticly set to Default Controls.
Voice Chat and Multiplayer Settings
At last. the final stage. if you Dont want to type and (By Default) press Y To type in the Server chat.
You Can Simply Hold K (By Default) to Activate your microphone And talk in the server and people would be able to hear you. (if you want to change the Default keys go to the keyboard settings)

So how do we know our microphone works well? well thats simple. first go to the 'Voice' Tab in the options window.

it should look like this:
'Enable Voice in this game' - if You enable this your Microphone would be in use when you Hold the Default Voice-chat key 'K'

Voice transmit Volume-This Controls The Volume of Your microphone you can test how high and how low it is in 'Test microphone'

Voice Recive Volume-This controls the Volume of Other player's Microphone. if you put it All way Low you wont be able to hear players. but would be able to hear the game. in other words. this controls the volume of when you hear other players

Test Microphone- this Can be used to Test how players hear you. you speak to the microphone and above it shows green-red Bars. which shows how loud or how quiet your microphone is when you speak. When you press Test microphone it would turn on your microphone. when you speak in to it the bars would move. and then would Replay it to you so you know how it would sound like to other players.

And Now.. The final and Most important Settings before you Can go Have fun and play in some servers, The Multiplayer tab. press the multiplayer tab in the options Window. this Tab is very important and a lot of people Don't even Set the settings there which Is not a good thing. No one knows that they Need to set a name. And they can also set a player model (how others sees you)

So press the 'Multiplayer tab' in the options window it should look like this at the First time you run the game:

So the First and Most important thing. Player Name. In this game it Does not automaticly Pick your steam Name. it does however pick your SteamID. Note:the Player name Will not change Your Steam name

So Now:
Player name-Pick a name. this name would be used in servers. such as in the chat Kill Logs And more. a lot of players Dont pick a name since they dont know they need to.

Player model-This is a little fantastic Possablity in Multiplayer you Can pick how people Sees you in-game.

Colors-You wont be able to set a Color. well to be more correct. you can Not for all Player models you can change the color of your player model. but this wont display the type of color. it Is a bug. that has not been fixed Sorry :(

Spraypaint image- if you Have set a Key for spraying in the Keyboard Settings You Can Paint sprays in Floors/roofs/walls in the Map (by default there is no key set) Note:you cant spray multiple Sprays. when you press again it Moves. So in your spraypaint image setting you can pick what Spray image would be displayed when you press the spray key.

Under the image you have Color Setting. you Can pick the Color of the spray. and above it would also display how it would look.

So Now your done with all this. Press Apply to save the settings Then Press OK at the bottom
Finish
Great! if you have done all of these stuff thats wonderful. This means you are Now ready to start playing. In the main menu Press 'find server' to get into a Server Double click the server or press join in the server browser.

Anyway thats all for now Folks, hope I Helped. Game on! Please tell me if this guide had helped you! Cya next time in Deathmatch Classic!
