Modding GTAV

First things first, You have GTA V on steam. It's main file folder is going to be found in your steamapps/common folder where all your Steam game files are. (that are on steam anyway) Find this folder. It's called "Grand Theft Auto V" (Search via windows if need be) When you find your Main GTA V folder (also refered to as your GTA V directory or your main GTA V directory) Right click it and select "copy" from the menu.

After you copy it then go back to your desk top and left click anywhere that is blank, then right click in that blank space and select "paste" from the menu. This will place an entire copy of your game to your desktop. (this will take time as your copying 65+ gigs)

You now have 2 copies of GTA V. One you mod (single player only or SP), one you use for multiplayer (MP). You just swap them in/out of your steamapps/comon folder to switch between the two.

Steam will ONLY start the game file (or main GTA V directory) you have placed in your steamapps/common folder. The copy you have on your desktop will NOT start. Steam will NOT see it. So depending on what you want to play, modded single player or unmodded multiplayer, simply place that copy of your game in your steamapps/common folder and start via Steam as you always do. Simple right? Now you know how to easily switch between playing MP and modded SP with NO fear of making a mistake and getting banned. (when draging your GTAV directory between your steamapps/common folder and your desktop make sure to not overwrite one with the other. Your PC will ask you before doing that. You can change the name of the GTA V directory to prevent one overwriting the other as you switch, but the one you want to play MUST BE IN YOUR STEAMAPPS/COMMONFOLDER AND MUST BE NAMED THIS EXACTLY: "Grand Theft Auto V" (no quotations of course)

OK now that you have 2 copies lets get to modding!

Download Scripthook and native tranier here: http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
(this is a direct connect to the publisher so it will always be up to date)

Now, Extract that file to desktop using WinZip or 7zip or whatever you like.

Now double click the "bin" folder in the extracted file.

Copy all 3 files in the "bin" folder then paste them in to to your main Grand Theft Auto V directory. (found in your steamapps/common folder)

You now have a native trainer.

You should start your game to be sure it works. Press F4 in game to bring up the menu. Use your num pad to navigate. 8 is up 2 is down 6 is left 4 is right 5 is enter.

You can now have all the guns online has even the heavy revolver.

You can also spawn in low riders with working hydraulics. (Faction is one if you don't know)

You can turn on god mod, give yourself money, Spawn in cars, change time, weather, gravity, and so much more. Every cheat you can think of is there. Explore the menu.

Now download this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/scripthookv-net

Install by putting all the files in to your main GTA V directory just like you did with ScripthookV

Now create a new folder in your GTA V directory and name it "scripts" you will need this folder later.

Next:

Download OpenIV here: http://openiv.com/webiv/guest.php?get=0

Start OpenIV and select "Grand theft auto V" for Windows. Make sure it finds your GTAV files (in your Steamapps/common folder) and is ready to go.

In OpenIV select "tools" along the bar at the top. Then scroll down to .ASI loaders and install them both/all.

Close OpenIV.

Next:

Download ENB 0275 here: http://enbdev.com/mod_gta5_v0275.htm

Unzip this file and copy then paste all files from the "wrapper" folder in to your main GTA V directory.

Start your game and you should see a message in the upper left saying ENB started.

Sucsess.

Exit game.

Download Visual V here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv

Extract it to your desktop.

Open it and find the folder named "Installation via mod package"

Open the "Installation via mod package" folder and drag VisualV.OIV to your desk top.

Run OpenIV again and and push the button that has blue red and green in it, called "Package installer"

While in package installer Navigate to your desktop and locate the "VisualV.OIV" file you put on your desktop.

Select install/open. You should see a green screen saying it installed correctly.

Now go back to the VisualV download where you found VisualV.OIV and double click the "optionals" folder.

Now double click on the "ENB settings" folder

Now select all the files in this folder by left clicking on the bottom file to highlight it, now while holding left shift use your up arrow key to highlight all the files in that folder.

Now right click on all the files and select "copy" (make sure you copy all files and the "enbseries" folder"

Now navigate to your main Grand Theft Auto V directory (hint it's in your steamapps/common folder)

Highlight the folder "Grand Theft Auto V" then right click on it and select "paste"

It will ask you if you want to overwrite, say yes to everything.

Done with visuals!

Start your game and see how it looks. (the cahnge will be subtle) Use your trainer (F4) to change the time of day and weather to see how your game looks. If you are not happy see my other guide to modding any graphics mod you would like. (link below)

NEXT

Now download this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/realism-dispatch-enhanced

When you unzip this file you will find a file called "RDE Added Models (Recommended) OIV"

Drag this file on to your desktop. (just like you did with the VisualV file)

Now start OpenIV and push the button that has blue red and green in it called "Package installer"

Then navigate to your desktop to find the file called "RDE Added Models (Recommended) OIV"

Select open then install. You should see the same green screen saying it was sucsessful.

Now witrh the new up-date you have to do the following:

Everybody that is crashing on the newest patch - Install the RDE normally with OIV Package Manager. You will need to replace the gameconfig.xml in update.rpf/common/data with the one provided in this download: (depending on what version of RDE you have installed match the version to the gameconfig file you install.)

{LINK REMOVED}

Start OpenIV and press the "Edit" button. Now navigate to "Update.rpf" then to "Common" Then to "data" and you will see a file in there named gameconfig.xml. If you see that file you are in the right place. Now press the green plus sign and navigate to where you downloaded the file, match it to the version you installed and select "open"

DONE.

Below is the description to all the changes you just made. It's A LOT. But I can tell you this. One of the best parts is this mod will make the police match the threat, Basically if you punch someone in the face and get a single star a single cop will show up. people have to actually report crimes by calling the police on their phones and you can see them doing this. If you kill the caller cops will not come. Police will now match the threat. I you use a mini gun a juggernaut will show up, if you hop in a buzzard the cops will dispatch an attack helicopter, if you hop in a tank the will dispatch a tank. This and so much more. Read on to see what's new in your freshly modded GTAV.

2. All Minor Crimes must be witnessed and reported, unless witnessed by a cop they will need to be called in.
3. Cops called will search the area the crime happened, line of sight is now required, police will jump fences and enter properties so hide well
4. Lower wanted levels attract less police
5. Working female LSPD and LSSD peds.
6. Cops will no longer rush you when in combat, they are able to flank, but they will always look for cover if you are aiming at them, SWAT still have the ability to rush and so will the Army. This also applies to gang members, they will rush you as well but will wait longer to do so.
7. Cops in cover now pop their heads up less frequently to shoot
8. Police response times are more realistic.
9. Small crimes like reckless driving can be seen by peds within 75 feet, and may result in a 1 star wanted level
10. Stealth kills and less noisy kills like hitting someone with a car now have to either be seen or heard by a ped within 5-10 feet depending on the crime
11. All Accuracy levels have been lowered, the better the law enforcement (SWAT) the better the accuracy, if the AI is rolling, jumping, recently hurt, or firing from a wounded ground position their accuracy is much lower
12. Police no longer see incredibly high making hiding above them a better option for not being detected.
13. Animals cannot call police (Rockstar's oversight)
14. Enhanced evasion timers for both on foot and in vehicle
15. A 1 star wanted level will now only promote one squad car to investigate and is more realistic.
16. Cops, Gangs, and all peds will no longer have unlimited ammo.
17. SWAT and Army will use teargas
18. Completely new install method that is easy and painless

@Paradigm Shift thats a low memoty error. See here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X94FbJXVlUw

Also do not have ANYTHING running in the background if you are playing GTAV. You don't have the memory to do so.

Happy modding!
