Pyromancer Guide 1.6.3.4( as of 6/21/16 )
De Eythen
This guide is to help new players play the pyromancer and if they are stuck as to what to do. With this build you should be able to learn the pyro enough to discover your own play style and you should also be able to wreck every act currently avaiable. I also made this because im newbie friendly. although i can't show you level 150 Overpoweredness. I can sure as heck get you there starting from level one.

The Video

In this video you will see me talk about this guide. in a messy format T_T.. sorry i suck at recording.( i had no script when i made the video)
anyways this video is 1 hour long. im sorry. this video shows my progress from starting fresh on a Pyromancer.
it took me about an average of 4-5 hours total to get to beat all 7 acts on normal mode.

If you don't have all the acts when you start the game. SUPPORT the devs by buying the DLC? either get a job or ask your parents for 15 dollers in credit.

here are the boss timers if you are having trouble beating any of them. if you go to the direct youtube link. the boss timers are linked in the description.

13:53 Act 1 boss
17:58 Act 2 boss
20:34 Act 3 boss
26:54 Act 4 boss
36:41 Act 5 boss
39:42 Act 6 boss
44:08 Act 7 boss

I BS a lot in the video. if you wait at least a minute or 2 i will get on with it to killing the bosses.
Pyro's base stats
Movement speed: 30
Pyro doesnt have any skills or passives to buff this. this is entirely gear dependent. IF you find no movement speed gear, well you're going to be the same speed as when you first started out. which means you will die when some random trap or projetile hits you. find some good movement gear and keep it for as long as possible. kiting and moving on the pyro is crucial.

Attack speed: 0
Pyro doesnt have any skills or passives to buff this. this is entirely gear dependent as well.
if you dont find better weapons, well RIP.

Strength:1( 20-25 auto attack damage) (6min attack and 8 max attack gained per point invested)
This is your auto attack damage. other then the skill [FireFlies lvl 36.] none of your skills scales with this. DONT!!!!! put a single point into this.
(your attack speed is horrible, DONT put points into this)

Energy: 1 ( 508 starting mana) (+8 mana per point invested/gained)
so if you already watched the video you know i say the pyro has high mana costs. im not kidding. put all your points into this. #1-2-3-4 on your hot key bars (your actives) all scale with Energy. the more you have the more skills you can cast and the more dmg you ca
n dish out.
(max this baby)

Armor: 1 (0.98% base dmg reduction) (0.96% per point invested)
If you want to play tank pyro go for it? you're wasteing your points though. This attribute/stat is gear dependent. if you dont find gear with decent armor rateings you're going to be taking quite a beating. ( keep this at one)

Stamina:1( 400 hp) (75 hp per level and the same when you invest points in it.
this is what keeps you alive.... it hits 0 you die, game over, RIP, gg scrub, nooooob, etc
everytime you level you automatically gain a point into this.
(dont invest points, learn to dodge, learn the monsters move animations, find better gear with stamina to increase your hp, or find a better weapon with "Life per hit"
Skills baby! SKILLLLLLLLLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TIER ONE ( your most slowest leveling from 1 to 12 )
Meteor (lvl 1)
the pyro has a chance to launch a huge meteor instead of a normal projectile
( this passes through enemies. a nice skill when you want to clear a lot of mobs all stacked around each other, good Aoe too. it even explodes when it reaches it's max distance)

FireSwarm( lvl 1)
casts a swarm of fireballs into the direction faced
( a very basic skill. you shoot many mini balls of fire out of your hands. )

TIER TWO ( your new bread and butter is here <3!!!!!!!!! )
Blazing Trail lvl 12
gives pyro's projetiles a chance to leave behind a blazing trail that damages and slows enemies
( this skill gives great damage to all of your skills that leave the trail... for instance the next one)

Fire Nova lvl 12
casts a fire nova impact all units around the pyro
( this automatically makes a burning trail around you)

TIER THREE
Spit Fire lvl 24
gives the pyro a chance to shoot mutiple fireballs instead of one.
( this makes you have someting similar to fire nova. but instead it fans outward and not a circle. once you get four fire balls. and a maxed out blazing trail. although the auto attack damage might not be much the trail usually finishes off anyone comming towards you.

TIER FOUR
Armageddon lvl 36
calls down a rain of meteors around the pyromancer
( if you can tank really well. just run in, fire nova, and Armageddon, everything will burn!)

Hyrda lvl 36
summons a fiery hydra to fight for the pyromancer (lasts 15 seconds)
( it can't be touched. its good extra dps for a few seconds)

Fireflies lvl 36
when an enemy dies, a firefly is summoned to orbit around the pyro, charging into nearby enemies
(you already kill monsters at a close range, these appear quite often. only thing is this scales with strength.)

TIER FIVE
Apocalypse lvl 48
dead enemies have a chance to explode and deal damage in the area around.
( i have rarely seen this actually. i dont even know if it is worth maxing yet.. will experiment one day)

Final skills that you are free to tweak.
As said before i finished all acts before i hit 60.

these should be maxed in their decending order.
Blazing trail
Spit fire
Apocolypse

the rest of the skills need 1 point and 1 point only.

this isnt an auto attack build but in order to gain mana you need to auto attack. since your weapon also has mana leech. same with life leech. auto attack keeps you alive. and spit fire makes you hit in a wider range.

the way you use this build is. run into a mob auto attacking. press 2. the run anway and watch those sons of .... things burn :D

in a max of 1.5 seconds. all normal mobs will instantly pop.
in a max of 3 seconds all elite mobs will slowly burn to a pop.
in a max of 5 seconds ( in normals) all bosses will be burned and then explode.

if it takes longer or you can do it faster. then congratz, you either have worse gear then i do or better gear.

understand my weapon was rare. i held 2 mythics and the rest were legendarys. it wasnt anything crazy either. all my gear was around the 20-30s range. not even close to my lvl 59.

anyone who farms more and levels more then i do should have ZERO trouble beating the acts.
Closeing statements.
Feel free to comment on my video.
Feel free to comment here.

On both i will do my best to answer and reply everything (dont worry i notice you senpai )

thank you guys for bearing though the butt long video. i hope it was helpful.

Q.A

  • Will i be doing other guides?
Yes i will. i plan to do a better written guide for each and every class in this game. i will also showcase a video of me beating all the bosses with that specific class.

  • How long will that take?
It took me 4 hrs to play the game to that level, then another 3hrs to edit the video, then 4hrs to upload it onto youtube. then 4hrs to write this guide. If i work hard i can do all the classes in a half a month but i do have a life. I'm sorry.

  • Any order you plan to do them in? ( the class guides)
from my favorite to least favorite at this point. pyro was just a spur of the moment. Please wait patiently. I don't get paid for this so i don't have a dead line.

  • what video recording software do you use?
    https://mirillis.com/en/products/action.html

    it's called " Action! "
Link is right there. i bought the commercial use since i do make videos for money. it was 49.95 USD, less then your iphone bill. ( you gotta spend money in order to make money sometimes )
( i also wont pirate that software since i plan to do youtubeing seriously )

  • what video editing software did you use?
I actually won't tell you lol. i dont edit my videos a lot. most of my videos are uncut.
if you plan to spend money on this software too. go on youtube and look up a few videos on what video editing software to buy. it should fit your needs, provide what you want and be easy to use. mine might not be great for you guys.

  • Lastly, do you plan to update this guide constantly?
maybe? idk the dev's work sechedule. i dont even know if anything will change with the pyro. this guide doesnt even include max relic buffs and potions. IFFFFFF there are some major changes to to the game where playing with my current build wont work. i will make a new video and update the guide as needed.

Thank you guys for reading. i have no TL:DR. and i hope you guys enjoy the game.

i find that the pyro's first active skill is very good because of the piercing effect, and auto attacks are useful to upgrade because i find that even with not all of my points in energy, i almost never run out of energy and even if i do, my auto attacks are strong enough to take on most enemies.

checked the updates. so hydra, meteor and fireflies got buffed? idk if there was more but i will check it out when i get the chance. if anything i personally never put more then 1 point into those 3 skills and just let gear give it as much skill points as it could.
Eythen  [créateur] 19 aout 2016 à 5h12
have not checked the new updates but i'll read them in a second

Thanks for the guide OP, thought the pyromancer was trash until I reset my stats and talents and followed the guide. Quick question though, have you experienced the pyro's skills not going off, but still losing mana like it did? This happens pretty often for me.
