The left grip button is used as a shift function to allow dual mapping or separation of controls to prevent accidental operations - such as left stick for forward and back movement with left stick click for interact (versus push stick up) to prevent accidental movement when intending to interact and with shifted left stick to zoom map in and out to prevent accidental movement when controlling map zoom.

Skill quick slots 1-4 are mapped to the left pad only requiring touch in the appropriate d-pad like position to select and a click of the pad for selcting quick slot 5.
