How to effectively play: Bandit

Introduction

Dominic "Bandit" Brunsmeier is a Defending Operator from the GSG9 counter terrorism unit. He is a lightly armored Defender, highly mobile but with poor protection. He comes packed with good defensive equipment and CQB weapons.

Loadout Overview

This section will give a breif overview and stats of the weapons/equipment and tips on how to employ them effectively.

This MP7 is a fast firing compact SMG but it is more of a defensive PDW (personal defence weapon) it is not recommended that you use this weapon for an offensive play style unlike the P90 for example. This gun is very controlable, has a very fast fire rate which makes the 30 round mag run dry very quickly so you have to control your fire. This SMG has very high mobilty so moving around won't be a problem. The attachments I recommend the most is a red dot of any type and the compensator. These attachments will allow you to control the recoil and muzzle rise as the fire rate will make the gun rise up. It will allow you to place accurate shots especially going up against riot shield users.

The M870 is a CQB shotgun that has high damage and mobility. It's fire rate is limited however due to being a pump action shotgun. Personally I tend to stay away from this gun because the range on it is not that good due to it's short barrel. I would go with the MP7 for its versatility depending on what map you are playing on you might have to engage an enemy in a hallway so the range on this shotgun will be a limitation. If you want to use this gun, use it on a highly CQB map like House or Hereford.

Equipment

CED-1 "Crude Electrical Device"
The CED is a versitile defensive device especially paired with barbed wire. The CED can be attached to metal objects mainly renforcements and barbed wire, it electrifies them so when the enemy tries to interact with them it will send a shock and damage them with the potential to kill. It allows the defenders to have a resistance to Thermite as he will not be able to apply his Thermite breach charge. When used with barbed wire its can damage enemies when they attempt to push through and also can destroy drones. It is very usful to block certain enterances that you think a drone might go through with this combo to stop them from detecting you or the objective.

Gadgets

Barbed Wire - Slows enemies down and produces noise. Good combo with CED

Nitro Cell - Remote explosive (I would stay away from this as the barbed wire is more usful with bandit's equipment)

Playstyle

Bandit is quite easy to play at the start of the match communicate with your teamates where to fortify the room, after that is established place down your fortifications and CED. Try to spread out the CED in case they get shot or blown up. Place barbed wire in high traffic areas such as stairs or the main entrance to your room. You can also put barbed wire with a CED behind a fortified door that you suspect an enemy will enter, this way the CED will catch them by surprise. Once fortified hide in a good location and wait for the enemy. When firing move around a bit as Bandit is mauverable and the low recoil of the MP7 won't hurt your aim. This will make the enemy harder to hit you. Aim for headshots when possible.

Personally after fortifying the room I would hide near a suspected door they might enter usually in the prone position leaning either to the left or right from a piece of cover. This way you can see if enemies is at the door from there legs and you can open fire through the wood. If they fire back there is a low chance that is may hit you because your prone and behind cover.

Summary

Bandit is a high mobile low armor defender that is equipped with a good set of CQB weapons and traps. Use his CED to deny enemy entries through metal fortifications and barbed wire to slow or damage the enemy. His mobility is good which will allow you faster movement to either flank the enemy or going to different objective points. Focus on surprising the enemy by shooting through walls or in the prone behind cover. Always try to find cover before firing as his low armor will not protect you much in the open.

barbed wire is pratically useless,go nitro cells. mute can do drone killing and bandit will do the breach denial

Imo the nitro cell is better than barbed wire as if an attacker sees a CED in barbed wire they will simply shoot it as the electrified effect is obvious, and if they rappel into CED'd barbed wire they'll take 10 damage max before getting out of it and destroying the CED. Sure you can use CED's in the barbed wire to stop drones but that's what mute excels in.

Whereas a nitro cell can be throw into a window someone is peeking, up or down a hatch for kills, to counter shields, to provide a distraction, or thrown into a group of pushing attackers for multiple kills if you're lucky, with a nitro cell you are capable of so much more.

To conclude, I like to put all 4 of my CED's on reinforced walls that my team specifically does not want breached. This was all written by a bandit main.

Bandit is good in a way that he has 3 barbed wires instead of 2(except Recruit)
