By N2h2 and 1 collaborators
Guide about Montagne, the GIGN balistic shielded operator.
Bunch of advice to become efficient while playing that operator in a solide team. Things not to do, mistakes to avoid and how he can turn the outcome if not played as a solo operator but in a way that he will be the eyes and the armor for his buddies.

Basic tips & video footage:
-Must be played with a team. This is not a decent shooter, not a class that can solo a match efficiently.

-Communication is the key. Stand strong in front of your team. Give them the maximum relevant infos to help them targeting the right place.

-When you're the first in the line, don't move to fast, don't straff to much, to not be wounded by the guy right behind you. It take a bit of time to become familiar with the shield size when it is deployed. Communicate about ennemie position as fast as possible, then don't move, make sure your buddy is familiar with that gameplay and let him take down ennemies.

-If an opponent is in front of you and start shooting, don't fall back. stand still with deployed shield, this is what montagne was made for.

-Don't be greedy, when your shield is deployed, you can't shoot. Let your temates kill the opponent. Your role is not to get a lot of kills, but provide decent cover.

-Be sure you'll have a decent shooter following you whatever will happen. At best get 2 shooter, one to pick down your opponent in front and one to cover your back and prevent anyone to shoot you from behind.

-Be ready to be frustrated not being the guy that will shot down the ennemy you spoted. But that's what is teamplay.

-Remember this way to play cannot work if you don't comunicate. If you or your shooter fail, you'll be both killed in action.

-This may sound weird but your role is to be shot. If one of your teamat is wounded, rush in front of him, and provide cover, to give your team a chance to revive him.

-Avoid smoke grenades, it will prevent your mates to see clearly what happen in front of you.

-Be careful with flash grenade, if you blind your team, you're all dead.

Because sometime videos are better than a long speach, here you'll understand what to do and what to avoid:

Hope this will help people to understand how to play that fat boy or to play the right way when he is in your team.
For the shooter, remember, the shield in front of you will be the best cover you can have, if you go in front of him, he will only be able to spectate your death.

Enjoy teamplay, hope I'll have the chance to be your montagne in game soon and hope you'll rtemember thoses advice when it will happen :)

One comment on the guns:

It might be more beneficial to LFP586 over P9, because Montagne is not really designed to fire at people (Blitz is more that alley). Montagne should be drawing fire and taking out his gun when necessary, meaning you want to do this as fast as possible, with as much force per bullet as possible.

Of course equipping Montagne with P9 and a laser sight (for better accuracy when hipfiring) is still a viable alternative.

Random comment-I personally love to just slowly walk into a room with one ot two peeps, shield extended, and just sit there with them trying to kill me like "Sup!"
