Add Song Titles and Artist Information to Self Radio

Since most of you guys like obtaining your songs trough converting sites , I'll show you a quick and simple way to tag them correctly so all of their information appears in Grand Theft Auto:V Self Radio station.

What is this?

Since I know most of you guys like to download your music trough YouTube2MP3 or other similar sites , I'll show you a quick way to tag the artists and song titles in bulk without having to go trough every single song in Audacity and spend hours just to edit a few lines. Once done , it will look like this:

Downloading MusicBrainz Picard

MusicBrainz PIcard is an mp3 tagging program written in Python .We will be using it to tag the songs in bulk , there are a few others out there such as ID3-TagIT[download.cnet.com] , MediaMonkey[www.mediamonkey.com] , TuneUp[www.tuneupmedia.com] , Mp3Tag[www.mp3tag.de] and even Foobar2000[www.foobar2000.org]. But for this guide , I'll be using MusicBrainz Picard and showing you how to use it.

Tagging Your Songs

So now that you have it setup , click on the Add Folder button and select your User Music folder located in My Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V .




After you have selected the folder with your songs , the program will begin to load all of them and their current names. Give it around a minute depending on the amount of songs you have in that directory before proceeding to tag them.




Once it's done loading them up , go into the LEFT panel and press CTRL+A to select all of them and click on the button that says "Scan" on the bar above the 2 panels. It will begin searching online for the song's artist , name , album and all of the information it can gather.




Once it's done , go into File at the top left in the menu bar and click on Save to save all of the tags the program has applied to your songs. And that's it! You now have a fancy radio information like the vanilla ones in less than a minute! Keep in mind though that if a song has a simillar name to an other one , the program might tag it with a different name by mistake. You can always fix that mistake by selecting the song you want to edit and enter the correct title under the New Value column.
