How to start off well in Sub Rosa

This guide will teach you how to start off in your first time in Rosa County.

Controls

WASD = Movement (car as well)

Left click = Interact with entity/rain bullets on your enemies

Tilde ~ = drop items

Right Click = Look around/switch car gears

1,2,3,4,5 = Inventory Slots.

Shift is for loading/unloading things from items to an empty hand.

F is for switching items between hand.

Alt-F4 = Enter the logic test to see if you should play.

Mouse = look around,fly with heli.

First starting off

When you first start off in Sub Rosa, you will spawn at a train-station just on the outskirts of the city. You should wait for either the train to come, or a friend to pick you up VIA car (Even a helicopter, if they are rich) When you arrive at the car-dealership you should purchase a car, A town car can seat 4 people, while a van can sit 6. Choose wisely.

Vehicles

At the dealership, there will be a big list of vehicles you can purchase. The vehicles you may see are Town Car, Beamer, Turbo, Turbo S, Van, Minivan and Helicopter.

Hint: while driving fast enough, if you hold right click to switch gears, you can pretty much turn off the engine. Originally there was a feature to shut off a car engine, but it was removed in Alpha 23. I will be honest, I want that back.

Also, there is a big rig truck in the ingame files, however it cannot be purchased unless an admin command/glitch is used to unlock it.

The companies

This is where it can get tricky. There are 6 companies on the map, one of which is an NPC company and cannot be accessed except in missions. The 5 choices are Goldmen Incorporated, Nexaco, Monsota, O.X.S International and Pentacom. I usually go Pentacom, as it is closest to the trainstation. To get hired, you need to step in their 'vault' located in the back of their building. You can see if people are managing the company by pressing C, which brings up the schematic map view. One circle around a company means that it is unowned/does not have a manager or two circles means they are managed. If people are managing a company, you need their manager to step in the vault with you to get hired.

Missions

When you are in a company, you will get either of these missions:
Building Acquisition
Limo Acquisition
Transation or
3-way deal.

Building and Limo Acquisitions require you to steal a disk, while Transation or 3-way requires you to either trade cash for one, or rain bullets on your enemies. If you are suspicous that your tradesmen are going to attack you, Attack First. You want to always have the jump-start. Hints that you are going to be attacked are guns pointing at you, possibly people ontop of a rooftop looking down at you, no-one appears to have the briefcase, etc. If you are attacked, you would more than likely get confused, and you'd probably not have enough time to react and get to safety.
