Get rid of Courier and get the font from the store page's screenshots on Windows 10

By default, CLANNAD will use the MS Gothic font if it's installed. On Windows 10 however, this is not installed by default (unless you have set up Japanese input, for example). We'll take a look at how to get an improved font. Of course you can use any monospaced font, but I actually like MS Gothic :)

Fix for Windows 10 machines without Japanese fonts

By default, CLANNAD will use the MS Gothic font if it's installed. On Windows 10 however, this is not installed by default (unless you have some settings set to Japanese, like input methods, for example). We'll take a look at how to get an improved font. Of course you can use any monospaced font, but I actually like MS Gothic :)

The original looks like this:

You'll want to head over to Settings > System > Apps & features and pick 'Manage optional features'.


Hit "Add a feature" and select "Japanese Supplemental Fonts". Wait a bit and... okay, now you've got the fonts.


Next, open CLANNAD, and change the font in preferences.


Now, this looks a lot better :)

Thanks, Game is much easier to read now, it wasn't too hard before but if it got on certain terrains the anti aliasing on windows 10 default font was meh...
