Ultimate Fps Boosting Guide

Do you want to squeeze some more fps out of your potato computer then this is the guide for you :3
This guide will only go over things that can make you get more fps. Not like cleaning up your HDD ect.

Video Tutorial

Resolution And Video settings

• Aspect Ratio
  Change this to "Normal 4:3" for the best fps NOTE: This will lower you view angle and you also have to stretch it if you want to remove the black bars.
  
  
• Resolution
  I will recommend "1024 x 768" Because then the quality is still fine
  
  
• Global Shadow Quality
  Set it to "Very low" NOTE: You can't always see shadows from players
  
  
• Model / Texture Detail Set that to "Low"
  
  
• Effect Detail
  Set that to "Low"
  
  
• Shader Detail
  Set that to "Low"
  
  
• Mulitcore Rendering
  I recommend "Enabled" NOTE: on some computer disabled will give more fps test it your self.
  
  
• Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode
  Set that to "None"
  
  
• Texture Filtering Mode
  Set that to "Bilinear"
  
  
• FXAA Anti-Aliasing
  Set it to "Disabled"

Launch Options

So try add one Launch option at the time because some of them help and some of them just makes you lag more.

Go into your "steam library" right click on cs go and chose "properties" and press "Set Launch options..."
Launch Options Commands

• -console
  Makes the deployment console start when you open csgo
  
  
• -novid
  Removes the intro when you start the game.
  
  
• -tickrate 128
  Makes your private / offiline with bots server 128 tick
  
  
• +cl_forcepreload 1
  Preloads maps.
  
  
• -nod3d9ex1
  alt+tab Faster
  
  
• -refresh <rate> / -refreshrate <rate> / -freq <rate>
  Force your monitor to change refresh rate. NOTE: This can damage your monitor if you force it to run a higer refresh rate than it can support
  
  
• -high
  Makes the game High Priority in windows
  
  
• -nojoy
  Removes joysticks
  
  
• -threads <number of Cores/Threads>
  Number of Cores/Threads Csgo is allowed to use
  
  
• -lv
  This is a low violence version of csgo might help on fps. (I don't recommend using it in comp)
  
  
• +exec autoexec
  Runs the "Autoexec" if you didn't make a autoexec file don't put this in the launch options.

And you should end up with something like this

Drivers

So drivers a basically the thing that the components run off. so like there is drivers updates sometimes for your usb things in your computer they might fix some problems with it. So if you never updated your drivers this will give you an fps increase.

• First of all go to this website http://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster-pro.php?__c=1 and download the program
  
  
• Now open the program and let it scan (takes around 1min)
  
  
• Now press update and let it do that (this takes a while if you never updated your drivers)
  
  
• Now you are done restart your computer.

Core Parking (doesn't work on windows 8)

• Click HERE[www.coderbag.com] to goto the website
  
  
• Scroll down until you finde a little underlined text that says "Download application executable files..." click on that
  
  
• Extract it.
  
  
• Run the program
  
  
• Press "check status"
  
  
• Press "unpark all"
  
  
• Close it

Nvidia

• Right click on your desktop and it should say "NVIDIA Control Panel" if you got a Nvidia Graphic card click on it.
  
  
• Now in the left tab under "3D Settings" click on the "Adjust image settings with preview"
  
  
• Select the "Use my preference emphasising" and the slider under that drag that all the way to the left side and now it should say "Use my preference emphasising: PREFORMANCE"

Amd

• So with Amd you can use the program called radeonpro[www.radeonpro.info]
  The programs let you edit a lot of settings.
  
  
• It would be awesome if somebody could find some more information about this

Disabling Areo Windows 7 and Vista

Windows 7

• Right click on your desktop and press "Personalize"
  
  
• Scroll down until you find one of the "Basic themes"
  
  
• Double click on it and now your Areo is disabled

Windows Vista

• Right click on the desktop and choose "Personalize". Click “Window Color and Appearance"
  
  
• Now click the blue text that says “Open classic appearance properties for more color options”
  
  
• Scroll down in the "Color scheme" until you find "Windows Vista Basic" and then click "Apply" and then "Ok"

882ab71a.dat (Spray file)

So the 882ab71a.dat is a file with is a spray file because csgo wanted to add sprays some time ago but they decided not to. So the file is the spray script or what you would call it with the normal cross hair image. Some people said that disabling this helped their fps.

• Open "Steam Library" and right click on csgo and click "Properties"
  
  
• Now click on the "Local files tab" and click "Browse local files..."
  
  
• Then open the "csgo" folder and then the "downloads" folder.
  
  
• NOTE: If the downloads folder is not there skip this Section.
  
  
• Right click on the "882ab71a.dat" and click "Open with" and then select "Notepad"
  
  
• Delete everything in side it with CTRL + A and then press Backspace, now save it.
  
  
• Right click it again and click "Properties" and then check the "Read-only" in the bottom
  
  
• Then click "Apply" and then "Ok"

Windows 10 And 7

Disabling Startup Programs

• Click on the windows logo and search "msconfig" and click enter
  
  
• Click on the "Services" tab
  
  
• Check the box in the bottom that says "Hide all Microsoft services"
  
  
• This is all the programs that starts up when you start your computer. So disable all the once you don't want to start. NOTE: This can make your computer not to bootup so if you don't know what it is don't Disable it or search the process up on google.

CPU Optimizations

Power Options

Note on laptops this will decrease your battery life!!!

• Open your control panel
  
  
• Search after "power" and open power options
  
  
• Now choose "High performance" And there you go

Viruses, malware, etc.

So viruses can slow down your computer so it's important to have a anti-malware program.
So if you already have a virus program skip this step.
This step will ONLY go over free virus programs

• Malware-bytes
  Malware-bytes is a good program thats check all your cookies malware etc. it's free and you can try the premium version for 14-days if you want.
  I recommend this program because it does not run in the background and you can set it to only scan when you open the program and press scan.
  
  
• Microsoft security essentials
  This is a program that runs in the background and always check after viruses.
  So this will make you get less fps because it runs in the background when you are gaming.
