You have been given one of Virgin's slower Glasgow to London (avoiding Birmingham) services, which stops at all Virgins stations between Glasgow Central and Warrington Bank Quay except Lockerbie. In part 1, you are to take 390112 'Virgin Star' from Glasgow to Carlisle, calling at Motherwell along the way. The conditions are closing in, and rain is expected to hit you any time, so go carefully. Also, there are reports of a slightly delayed FTPEx service ahead of you means that the freight services that weave around the express' are thrown, so watch out for those. All AI is to timetable.
