And so were the Revelation games(to my knowledge). In the end, it's personal opinion and I enjoyed both RE6 and RE2R. Not exactly bad games and both are pretty fun.

Comperatively RE rev 2 is better as the coop is much better(Campaign mode). Instead of having having two protagonists in the same place you have one protagonist and one supporting character, one has a gun and other has "special abilities", bringing us back to survival horror roots instead of blasting the place with two protagonists who both have guns like it's some action hero game. Let me remind you, Resident evil is a survival horror franchise.

RE Rev 1 is perfect tbh. RE Rev 2 I haven't finished yet, but I might one day. RE Rev 2 just doesn't keep my attention very easily.
