Introduction
This is a guide to getting all the achievements in Starpoint Gemini 2. It is written with the assumption you are trying to get the achievements without using mods or editing your save file. Why should you try to get achievements? Well, if "because it's fun" isn't good enough, each achievement apparently gives your character a bonus effect (see this list[starpoint-gemini-2.wikia.com]). This is my first guide so if anyone has any comments or suggestions please let me know. If you are looking for some basic game info try checking the following guides:

Above the law

Do 20 successful smuggling runs on planets

The quickest way to do this is to get some money together (20k should be enough) and travel to Troy in sector 285 as seen below.

Then, transfer command to a gunship if you aren't flying one, and hire Shawnna Yocum.

Go to planet Iolia nearby in sector 262 and anchor. Instead of paying the landing fees, hit smuggle instead.

Once you land just leave again, and then repeat the process 19 more times. Don't worry if you get caught, you'll just be fined 1500 credits and lose 10 rep but you can still attempt to land again straight away.

Ballistic Bastard

Destroy an enemy using only heavy weapons

This achievement is fairly easy to get. Once you have a frigate or something with a decent heavy weapon ammo capacity, go find a gunship and blow it to pieces (careful not to shoot any light weapons). Torpedoes and missles will probably work better than shockwave type weapons for this one.

Bookworm

Read all tutorials

Easy enough, just browse through all the tutorial stuff and you should get this. You can do this by clicking on the question mark on the top right part of the screen (next to the map button).

Then, you'll have to choose each topic in turn and click through all the pages by hitting the next button a lot. Once you get through every page of every topic, the achievement should pop up.

Bulletproof

Take 5 times the amount of your hull integrity in damage during a single battle

This one can be tricky. First, go stock up on repair bots and mount them in your equipment slots.

Then, take a ship and go find a small group of enemies. Transfer power away from shields and let them hit you. Stay put unless more enemies get drawn into the fight. If that happens you will need to keep flying away from them, staying on the edge of their range so you keep taking hull damage but don't leave combat. The reason for this is because if you start taking too much damage you will need to veer off or speed up out of their range to avoid being blown up. Keep in mind all 3 different repair bots have seperate cooldowns, so you can have all 3 running if necessary.

Once you are pretty sure you've taken more than 5x your hull in damage (a good indicator is how many of which repair bot you have used as each repairs a certain percentage of your hull) you will need to either kill all enemies or escape the fight to get the achievement. If you are destroyed, it unfortunately doesn't count.

Catch the wave dude

Use T-Drive

Go to a planet or station and buy a T-Drive.

Use it to jump somewhere and enjoy your achievement.

Critically acclaimed

Deal 50 critical hits

Just shoot things enough times and this will pop up eventually. You can use skills to try and increase the crit chances if you find youself not in combat often, but I think you will get this one just by playing the game.

Down to the wire

Win a battle with less than 5% hull points remaining

Get into a fight and set your power balance to guns and engines only, then shoot the enemy until they have less than a quarter health, wait until they almost kill you, then blow them up. This can be a little tricky, especially if there are other ships around, but you shouldn't have too much trouble if you use heavy weapons.

EDIT: Alternative method suggested by harleyquinrazer. Use either an end-game ship or a corvette.

For an end-game ship (Carrier, DLC Titan etc.) sit inside an EM field like the Maelstrom or Trojan Basin. Let EM wreck shields and Hull strength until 5% HP mark is reached. If nervous, use T-drive to warp to someplace safe and make up the difference with wormhole jumps. Gunships and Corvettes can get by with wormhole jumps alone.

Once Hull strength is at the desired level, make sure shields are at 100% and then find something easy to kill. Get the kill then move away from the area. If achievement still hasn't triggered then, use T-drive or T-gate to move to a different area.

Friendly fire frenzy

Provoke non-hostile ships 10 times

Find 10 friendly (blue or green) ships and shoot them, nothing to it. You don't even need to destroy them, just turn them hostile and move on.

Gemini barbecue

Buy a shipment of meat and Hogwash and then fly into the suns till your ship almost pops

Travel to planet Hogosha in sector 114, buy one shipment of meat and one shipment of hogwash.

Then, fly straight at one of two suns until the achievement pops up.

Ground zero

Collide with a planet

Fly at a planet until you ship automatically stops, then activate your engines again until you crash and burn. Get your achievement and reload your game.

Guardian angel

Save an ally with 10% or less health by destroying his attacker

This is easiest in rescue missions. Just wait till the ally ship is at low health, then destroy the attackers quickly. You don't want to draw the attackers attention too soon or your ally won't be damaged enough; wait too long though and they might be destroyed before you kill their attackers. Timing is key and it might take a couple tries.

EDIT: Thanks to Bella for finding out an easy way to get this achievement.

In the campaign there is a side mission in the Trinity Free States called Seeking An Ally. Part of this mission involves saving aeveral freighters from a few Vanquis gunships. The freighters are actually indestructible, so you can let one get down to low/no health and then wipe out all the attackers which should net you the achievement.

Gun for hire

Solve 20 freelance missions

Accept and successfully complete 20 missions. So long as you accept ones that are listed as your current level or lower, you should have no problem getting this.

Hitchhiker's Guide

Explore the entire Gemini system

Easiest way to get this is to travel in a diagonal straight line that goes through two rowes of hexes like the below picture shows.

Following the white path you will explore the sectors outlined in yellow, basically cutting the time it takes to explore the system in half.

Make sure you are aligned to the plane (p) so you don't waste time flying up or down on the z axis. Utilizing speed boosters and riftways (NOT wormholes or T-Gates) will also help you get this done faster. If you plan on getting the Tomb raider achievement, do it while you are getting this one as it will save you a lot of time.

Holy Hat-trick

Destroy 3 ships within an interval of 15 seconds

This will probably happen at random in a battle, but if you are trying to force it you will need to find a group of 3 or more enemy ships. Shoot them until all are at very low health, then try to destroy 3 of them quickly. 15 seconds is fairly generous so you shouldn't have too much trouble with this. I recommend waiting until you have a frigate or better class of ship as it can be hard to last long enough against 3 or more enemies with a smaller one.

Homewrecker

Destroy a station

This one seems a little buggy, and may only be achieveable through campaign mode (near the end of the game you will be attacking a station and should get the achievement). But if you are playing free roam I have no idea how to get this. Destroying any of the enemy structures you can attack will not trigger it apparently, so if anyone knows how to get this in free roam please let me know in the comments.

Hope you're insured

Destroy a freightliner

Find a freightliner and destroy it. This will be easier once you have a Frigate or better class of ship as Freightliners are usually escorted by one or two smaller ships. Just concentrate on the liner and you should be fine.

Icebreaker

Destroy 100 asteroids by colliding with them

And the award for the most boring achievement goes to....this one. Ugh, this takes forever to do but it's not hard. To get it you need to go to an asteroid field, shoot a big asteroid down to almost no health (or find some really small ones) and then ram it until it blows up. Repeat another 99 times if you don't die of boredom first.

Invisible, not invincible

Get destroyed while cloaked

Get into a fight, kill your engines and wait until you are almost dead. Then activate your cloak and wait till you explode. Remember that it takes a couple seconds for your cloak to activate, so timing is critical here.

EDIT: As people in the comments have pointed out, it's possible to get this achievement just by dying while you are cloaked. So you can cloak and fly into a planet, take radiation damage or whatever, you just need to be cloaked.
It's raining death

Launch at least 20 missiles in a single battle

You will need two things for this one. First, a ship with at least 20 heavy weapon ammo (frigate or better) that can take a beating in a fight. Second, enough enemies that shooting 20 missles doesn't kill them all. Just keep your shields charged and your hull repaired and you should do fine.

Kick a man when he is down

Loot a derelict

You will probably do this very early in the campaign story, just after you return from your first visit to planet Trinity and before you can choose to either follow the story or play freeroam. If you started off your game by playing freeroam, just look around for a ship that appears white on your radar, chances are it's a derelict and you can send over scavenger bots (after you scan it) for the achievement.

Knife to a gunfight

Destroy an enemy by colliding with them

Shoot an enemy to almost dead, and fly full speed (activate PTE) into them. Can be tricky to hit them, and you may not do enough damage if it is a larger ship, so I suggest trying it on a gunship or corvette.

EDIT: Bella in the comments has pointed out that you may only need to be very close the another ship when it dies to get this achievement.

Leviathan

Operate a massive carrier

These badboy's start at 25 million credits, so start saving. Please not however, that even if you use a mod or edit your save file to get enough money, you will still need to be level 40+ to operate it and activate the achievement.

Magnificent Meteor Miner

Mine 500 asteroids

Start shootin' them rocks son, shoot them all. I don't think space junk counts towards this so make sure it's asteroids you're blowing up and looting.

Manic Mechanic

Enhance all ship systems on a single ship

Unfortunately the description of this one is a little misleading. If you pimp out your starting ship wil enhancements in every slot, nothing happens. What you need to do is buy a ship that has all 8 weapon slots available, and put an enhancement in every one plus in every system slot like the picture below.

Navi-what?

Explode in a collision with an asteroid

To get this achievement, grab a gunship (prefeably Lyra class as it has the lowest health in the game) and transfer all power to engines. Then find an asteroid field, change the game difficulty to Extreme (increases the damage from collisions) and activate your PTE and speed boosters. Fly into the nearest asteroid which should bounce you off. Quickly aim your ship at another asteroid and ram it as well. Repeat this process until you shields are gone and you hull takes enough damage to destroy your ship.

No galaxy for old men

Destroy 15 veterans

Veteran's are a different type of enemy then regular ships and heroes. You can identify them by the star appearing next to their ship health bar. They seem to appear more as your gain higher levels and are tougher than normal enemies, but not as as strong as heroes. I found most of the ones I killed in the middle area of the system, controlled by the empire.

No more heroes

Kill all heroes

This is pretty tough, as hero's range from levels 20 to 80, and are about as well equiped as you are. Expect a tough fight when you start hunting these guys down.

If you're playing on easy, just check your map and look for the blue/red helmet symbol to see where heroes are currently located.

If you're playing on a harder difficulty, first go to your map and then click on the bounty board.

This will give you a list of every hero as well as there last known location.

You will have to fly to their last know location and hunt them down, keeping in mind that they move arround so you will have to search nearby sectors or assault a nearby prison to lure them to you.

This achievement is also much easier if you don't have/use any of the DLC as they add in extra heroes.

Now you see me…

Stay cloaked and undetected for 5 minutes

Ok, to get this one I used a Helios Dreadnought with the Pronova III enhancement on the power core.

Then, travel to Duquesne in sector 333 and hire Ginette Kanter.

Engage your cloak and immediately use a Power Pack.

As soon as the cooldown is over, use another and repeat the process until you get the achievement. Make sure you have plenty of power packs before you start.

EDIT: According to harleyquinrazer this method may not work any more. If so, try using a different power enhancement like the Regen III on the power core which can be bought at Heliopolis or Spire station.

Overclocker

Exceed the maximum engine speed

Set your power to maximum engines, activate your PTE (b) and then use a speed booster and you should get this achievement (as well as wherever you are going a lot quicker).

Overly overt overkill

Destroy an enemy with full shields and hull in less than 3 seconds

This will be easiest once you get a bigger ship (Destroyer or better). Find a small gunship somewhere and pummel it into the ground with everything you got. If you want to achieve this before getting the really cool stuff, try to attack a ship near some allies who have big guns; if you kill it quick enough you should get the achievement.

Ow did I shoot you?

Destroy an enemy with a turret while facing away from it

To get this one all you have to do is find an enemy ship (preferably alone), target it, and activate auto fire mode (f). Then turn your ship away from it and lower your speed so you don't outrun it. So long as you aren't looking at it when it dies, you should get this achievement.

Prison break

Successfully raid an Off-world Prison with your Troops

Travel to one of the prisons and beam over some of your troopers. I don't think it matters how many you send for this achievement. Be warned that as soon as you send over troopers it will attract any hereoes or enemy ships in the area.

Below you can find the locations of every prison in the system.

Rabid Plasmajockey

Deal 500000 damage points with plasma cannons

Load you ship up with plasma cannons and shoot enough stuff to get this one.

Rabid Railgunner

Deal 500000 damage points with railguns

Take railgun weapons on your ship and shoot things a lot. That's it.

Rabid Raygunner

Deal 500000 damage points with beam weapons

Just like railgunner and plasmajockey, just fill your ship with beam wepaons and go shoot stuff.

Rebel strike

Destroy 10 Empire Ships

Just Kill 10 Empire ships. These tend to hang out in the middle of the map (see below) between and around the two suns and planet Carthagena. Try to find some of the smaller ones (gunships or frigates) for an easier fight if you're below level 40.

Red Baron in Space

Destroy 100 ships

Just keep playing long enough and you will eventually shoot 100 pesky ships who are trying to take your sweet cargo (or hunt down 100 scum suckers who deserve to die).

Revenge is sweet

Destroy an enemy that destroyed one of your wingmen within a 5 second interval

This one can be a bit buggy because sometimes the game doesn't register you getting the kill in time apparently. First buy a mercenary (I recommend a gunship) and go find something hostile that's capable of destroying your hired help. Cloak if you can and make sure that your mercenary is being attacked. Then, attack his attacker, trying not to kill him until just after he destroys your ally. It might take a few tries due to the time limit and sometimes buggy triggering, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

Shipping Magnate

Purchase 15 different ships

Note that capturing ships does not count, you have to BUY them. AND you can't just buy 15 of the same ship, they need to all be different ships. So wait until you have a lot of money, save your game, buy 15 of the cheapest ships you can find, then load.

Sitting duck plucked

Destroy an enemy while he's charging Power to Engines

You will probably pick this up without trying. Ships will sometimes try to flee when they loose a lot of health, just keep killing things and eventually you'll kill one at the right time.

Spacehopper

Jump through a wormhole

Find a wormhole (see screenshot) and fly into it. You will be spat out the other end with some minimal damage to your ship and a brand new achievement.

If you're having trouble finding one, wormholes look like an orange spiral on the system map.

Storyteller

Finish the storyline

Complete the story mode, should take approximately 20 hours or so. Of course you can't get this if you are playing in freeroam mode.

Swashbuckler

Capture a ship

You will definately get this if you are following this guide, but in case you are not here's how. First, find an enemy ship. Get within transporter range (usually 300, varies depending on ship and enhancements), middle click and hit the boarding button.

You will see a window open on the right side of the screen that shows your boarding status. The green arrow will send over more troops once the current phase is completed. Once your troopers get through all the phases and some are still alive, you capture the ship.

You will want to try to capture a gunship first as they are the easiest, and if you're worried about the ship slipping out of transporter range use your grapple beam on it to keep it close.

Taking candy from a baby

Win a battle against 3 or more enemies without attacking them

This one poped up randomly for me, so I'm not 100% sure how I got it. But I think basically I flew into a fight between two factions, one of which started to attack me. Before I left the battlezone all the attackers were destroyed, netting me the achievement.

There can only be one

Destroy an enemy using only one turret

This achievement will only unlock if you use a ship with more than one light weapon slot available (so Corvette class or better). Land/dock your ship somewhere and click on Drydock, then loadout. Configure your ship in docking so that it only has 1 light weapon. Go kill something.

Tomb raider

Gather all artefacts

This one will take a while. You need to find and repair all 50 artifacts scattered around the system.

I've circled their locations on the map below.

Travel Agent

Visit all Gemini planets

This is probably the hardest achievement to get without cheating or mods if you attempt to get this after completing the story, as you will be most likely at max reputation and would have to grind your way all the way down to the lowest reputation. The easiest way is to start a new game and land on the following planets:

Trinity
Iolia
Sora
Baeldor
Corrion
Hogosha
Fairuz
Korkyra
Pyros

Then, you will have to lower your rep by attacking friendly or neutral ships and taking quests from unlawful factions until you are friendly or allied with the outlaw and empire factions that control the remaining 4 planets. You can check you current rep by going to Captain Info > Reputation.

Once your rep is low enough, you can then land on the following:

Thauria
Carthagena
Eanakai
Nyx

Once you complete that, you should get the achievement.

EDIT: Thanks to the free Origins DLC, this might easier to get now. At the beginning of the Origins campaign you can fly to any of the planets in Gemini thanks to them all being neutral to start with. Only down side is there are no T-Gates to make traveling easier. But it should still take less time than grinding reputation so make use of speed boosters and riftways whenever possible.

I already had this achievement before I started Origins, so if someone can confirm whether or not this works please let me know.

EDIT: NReale3370 has confirmed that this achievement is obtainable in the Origins DLC; but due to the lack of T-Gates and having to lower your reputation below zero to land on one of the planets, it may not be quicker than the above method.

Another fast way to help lose reputation is to transport troops onto/destroy an enemy mining platform, AMP or relay.

Trickshot Sharpshooter

Destroy an enemy without locking on it

For this to work, you CANNOT click on the enemy ship. If you click on it, you "locked" onto it as far as the game is concerned. So to get it you need to fly close to an enemy ship (or a friendly one that you don't like very much) and shoot it until it dies.

Warpfactor Freak

Travel via Power to Engines for at least 10 minutes

Travel to one end of the map, set a waypoint at the other, engage drive engines (b), and go get some coffee. If you are trying to get the Hitchhiker's Guide achievement, you will probably get this during that one as you explore every sector. It's also handy to have a ship with a cloak so you can avoid combat when doing this as sometimes (especially at higher levels) enemies will shoot missles at you that will knock you out of PTE and thus reseting your time back to zero.

EDIT: Alternatively, as pointed out by Suncake in the comments, you can also do the following:
Go to a friendly zone, use PTE with 0% energy to engines, press spacebar and move your cursor to the corner of your screen. Go do something for 10 minutes and enjoy your achievement when you get back.

Who wants to be a…

Accumulate 10 million Credits

Accumulating 10 million credits might seem hard when you are first starting, but if you keep doing jobs and missions long enough or follow this guide, you will have this in no time.

You da boss!

Control 2 mercenary ships and 3 fighter squadrons at the same time

This will be achievable once you are level 40+ and have tons of money. Buy a carrier and two support ships, making sure between them you have at least 3 fighter squadrons, and you should get the achievement.

You're coming with me

Destroy an enemy after your ships is destroyed

This is an especially hard one to time, but it is still possible. Basically, you need to buy a really good heavy weapon (see this guide) and go pick a fight with a few ships you can destroy. Whittle one of them down to almost dead, let yourself be almost destroyed, then launch a heavy weapon just before you die. Hopefully while your ship is in a death spin the other ship will be destroyed getting you the achievement.

This will probably take a few tries, and if anyone knows a better way please let me know.

EDIT: As pointed out in the comments, if you have launched drones and/or have hired a mercenary they will attempt to shoot down your target as you are dying, which increases your chance at getting this achievement.

You're coming with me:
Kill an enemy with your heavy while flying into a planet (https://steamcommunity.com/app/236150/discussions/0/613941122584839975/#c3838801285237362510)

Icebreaker
1) open save file
2) find string "Stats:" in "Player:"
3) change the third number from the end to 99 "[tab]99[tab]0[tab]0"
4) destroy one small asteroid

Morirneit Oct 30, 2018 @ 7:15pm
ok, it unlocked now.
in case it does not unlock for others:
verify files
create completly new save file (start in freeroam if you wish) and try to go for the side mission trick.
if that still doesnt work, log into another steam account on the same computer (with activated familysharing), do the achievement, switch the accounts again and try it again.
Morirneit Oct 27, 2018 @ 6:57am
Can someone confirm that the trick for "Guardian Angel" from Belle still works? Attempted it several times, but never triggered the achievement :(
guig May 14, 2018 @ 11:27pm
about "Knife for a gunfight": if you target a solo enemy and wait for him to flee you, you won't be able to kill him; apparently his speed counter enough damages for you to kill him except maybe if on 1 Hp, but i did about 7 bounces on extrems diffilculty on a lysa on no health no shield without killing it since he was running.

what you have to do is aim for an ennemy that others are about to kill. take enough distance to go TPE + accelator item and aim (see below the asteroid trick). if you are lucky and close enough when it dies it will achieve. Others fire can kill it but if you are perfectly aligned (bounce on its deretict) and close enough so that you "would have kill it" in the second the game will accept it.

take a approch from the sides, much easier to aim and avoid the fact it can run from you. front is hard since if it changes its course just a little you'll miss it.
guig May 14, 2018 @ 8:50pm
oh and i forgot, pull full power in speed. this way you don't need any accelerator item.
guig May 14, 2018 @ 8:09pm
i found a easy way for "Icebreaker"! took me lees than 10mn that way after i was struggling for hours just for 5 asteroids...
1. take an Osiris ship (big for impact damages, and have both large height and sides).
2. go to the barony at a station near the asteroid field so you can TPE directly into them.
3.put the game on extreme (to maximise impact damages); save and quit.
4. reload. now DON'T TOUCH your mouse. if press "tab" twice you should get this view:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1386318085
5. launch TPE and aim for the little asteroids. when hurting them you want htem to be on your cursor and between your cursor and the red light and the antenna. large ship will do the rest. first aim so the asteroid is above the cursor and in the last 2secs go up just a bit so it's inside the circle or just under it.
6.repeat and enjoy ! (dont forget to put back the difficulty to what you play afterwards and save ^^).

Now you see me...
is difficult, I got it using Ronin Destroyer with Pronova III (+0.20% or .2 recharge rate, +0.30% or 19 power), Charmain Godbee (+10% power recharge, +15% power), and 5-8 well timed power packs (10-15 to be safe)

There Can Be Only One: just recieved this achivement by shooting having a ship with a single light rear turret and two or more front turrets with rocket, having the enimey ship directly behind me and shooting it with just the rear turret, not using the front ones or having any side turrets installed
