Werewolves of Skyrim

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
Now you can actually meet werewolves in the wilderness of Skyrim!
This mod adds 4 new kinds of werewolves and a total of 44 leveled werewolves you can meet as random encounters in the wild. The new werewolves you'll encounter are Common, Chiller, Scorcher and Shocker Werewolves. Each type has it's own abilities, strengthes to be wary of, and weaknesses to exploit (see Werewolf Types Encountered, below). It's another mod in the Skyrim Encounters and Themes series to make your Halloween season gameplay more frighteningly fun! (For other mods in the series, see Other Mods for Halloween, below.)

❖ What the Mod Changes
Werewolves of Skyrim does not replace any animals and other creatures you meet as random encounters in the forests, plains, marshes, hills and mountains of Skyrim. It simply makes makes it just as likely to encounter the new werewolves as it is to encounter bears, sabre cats, trolls and the like. The mod also gives fishermen, fisherwomen, hunters and orc hunters the power to turn into werewolves. If you or other NPCs attack them, they will transform and attack you!

❖ Disable Whenever You Want
The mod is completely safe. No changes are permanent. Disable it at any time and the your wilderness encounters return to normal. The fishermen, fisherwomen, hunters and orc hunters will no longer have the power to turn into werewolves.

WEREWOLVES YOU'LL ENCOUNTER

I never understood why there were so few werewolf encounters in the wild of Skyrim. After many hours of gameplay with different characters, I think I only encountered one outside of the Companions quests. I also didn't get why the few werewolves I encountered were so easy to kill. This mod seeks to remedy this. Starting at level 6, you now have the same chance to be savagely attacked by a werewolf as you do to encounter a hostile wolf, frostbite spider, bear, sabre cat or troll. The werewolves are leveled, so they will continue to be a challenge as your character levels up.

To keep things interesting, you will now encounter four different kinds of werewolves--each with new powers to watch out for, but also with weaknesses you may exploit. These are:
✓ Common Werewolves
Encountered in any wilderness, these have the same black texture of werewolves of the vanilla game. Unlike the name suggests, there is nothing common about them. They now regenerate health during combat like trolls, and their claws do the poison damage of a Falmer. You are twice as likely to meet this kind of werewolf as you are to meet the other kinds.
✓ Chiller Werewolves
Found only in the coldest wildernesses and mountains, these werewolves are light-grey in color and are always surrounded by a frosty mist guaranteed to run a chill down your spine! They have the frost cloak and resistence to frost of a frost atronach. Like frost atronachs, they also have a weakness to fire spells and enchantments.

✓ Scorcher Werewolves
Found in the warmer plains, hills and forests, these werewolves are brown in color and always appear to be lit onfire by flames that do not harm them. Don't get too close, or you'll get burned! They have the flame cloak and resitance to flame of a flame atronach. Like flame atronachs, they also have a weakness to frost spells and enchantments.

✓ Shocker Werewolves
Found only in the marshes of Skyrim, such as those near Morthal. They have a dark grey color and a shocking appearance of emitting electricity. They have the shock cloak and resistance to shock of a storm atronach. But their weakness is that they are more susceptible to poison than other werewolves.

After installing this mod, first my game and then my computer started to crash. Either there are optimization issues or the mod is faulty.

this mod is the culprit causing my game to have an odd error, where I could not activate furniture or workbenches, instead the perspective shifting to a third person view where the character froze up for a few seconds in a peculiar pose, before reverting back to game with no sign of sitting or engaging that smithing in any way.
Now that I have identified it it wasn't that odd at all, but still. Might be a mod conflict, but I haven't implemented any mods doing any scaling, imported any idles or anything, so it's strange. Can't see that I miss any required mods either.

Came across this while looking for mods to add more monsters to the game. Skyrim's enemy variety is just plain awful! This helps a lot.

So if you are a werewolf they won't try to kill you

I think this mod had a lot of potential. It was cool to see more werewolf encounters for a while, and I really liked the different werewolf types. However, I am removing this mod because it is simply too. damn. much. Approximately every other encounter is a werewolf encounter. They are way more common to see than they need to be. I can't do anywhere without something around 4 or 5 werewolf encounters, sometimes multiple in a row. It went from not nearly frequent enough to way too frequent. If it was taken down a notch or if you could set a frequency variable in the MCM this mod would be great.
