War Pod and Assault Vehicle

Description
WAR POD INSTRUCTIONS:
Best to fly at about 30%
Invincibilty=ON

To take off amd move:
Release ground anchors =B
Hit Main & Swivel Thrusters [7] &[8]
turn swivels = [4]&[6]
forward thuster =[5]
YAW= [1] &[3]

Once you are familiar with flying it, it is best to start from a good height then let it drop.... hit thruster, shoot misssiles, land and attack.

Open the CAF Gull wing doors L shift & close with L ctrl

URBAN FOX INSTRUCTIONS:

IMPORTANT STUFF FIRST! This is a very jumpy vehicle!!!
The twin bomb chucker is set to very high speed so when you hit 3 to operate throwing arms you need to hit 5 STRAIGHT AWAY!

Or... just slow the game speed right down so you can get used to how fast it is. easy as pie :)

ALSO IMPORTANT. you need to tap-tap-tap gently on the FORWARD arrow when you are on the edge of a ledge you want to crawl down (or up)... otherwise you will just shoot off into space!

Or... just slow the game speed down for this too. easy peasy!

So:

arrow controls as usual for moving
3 throws twin bombs & 5 releases their grabbers

The centre wheel are there to help you over edges but go SLOWLY with them.

Watch the video and you will see how versatile & agile this little guy is! PLEASE GIVE ME A RATING Thank you :)

I dont know if im doing this right but the pod keeps falling like a rock

Alright! This is very encouraging! I will give it another go. If you are both getting results then it's obviously me who is not doing it right. Somestimes it's great to ne wrong :) Like I said, I like Neutex's stabilising system it has a lot of applications. Working on my most ambitious build right now. Vid out tomorrow night.

That's strange, because the 13 value balloon in my Instant Win Machine still works. I built a small test machine that just had a couple ballasts, grabbers, and a balloon, and I was able to get a 1000 level balloon to stay intact with the grabbers on the sides.

Something else I've noticed is that the stings on hyper-inflated balloons elongate a lot more now. So your balloons without grabbers might be going up to the freeze level and popping, depending on how high you have them set.

I've discovered that you also could start the simulation at 5% so the grabbers have time to grab the balloon before it files away. The grabbers work per frame and not by time. After the grab, just set the speed up again.

Thanks Ross.I tried dropping the the slider levels in another build that used no grabbers and they popped everytime! I reverted to using neg value airblocks in the end. shame, I like the balloons stabilising effect

I figured out what's causing the problem. Since Unity 5 has more processing power, it starts doing physics calculations right away in the simulation, without the initial delay the Unity 4 engine had. So right at the start, the super-buoyant balloons accelerate upward into the grabbers and pop, before the grabbers have a chance to grab them.

There are two ways I can think to solve this: you can use more balloons at lower settings (You can still go a lot higher than 1.50), or you can have the balloons gripped from the sides rather than above.

Best of luck! :steamhappy:

Doesn't work. I need to figure out a replacement for the ballons as the bsg edits don't work anymore!!

Does it work after the update? If it does, it shoudn't be a problem playing it at 100%

So good...
