Normalize the music volume /Normalisieren der Musik Lautstärke

You want a comfortable volume level for the main title, loading, startup or character creation music? Here is a simple guide to normalize the music level.

Du willst eine angenehme Lautstärke für die Hauptmenü-, Lade-, Gamestart- oder Charactermenü Musik? Dies ist ein einfacher Guide um die Musiklautstärke zu Normalisieren.

Preparation

For Normalizing I used the well known software Audacity Portable: http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/audacity_portable

Create a backup of the Ogg folder:
..\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Ogg
(for example ..\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Ogg\Backup)
Now make a copy of all .ogg files you want to change.

Normalize the audio files

Open the "MainTitle.ogg" file in your Audacity. Go to "Effect" and "Normalize...". Now I have choosen the value -30dB. You should try different values. When you are fine with the volume, confirm it. Next choose "File" and "Export...". If you have done a backup you can double click on existing file and overwrite. Repeat this with the other files if you want.

Erstelle ein Backup des Ordners "Ogg":

Jetzt mach eine Kopie aller .ogg Dateien, die du verändern möchtest .

Normalisieren der Audiodateien

Öffne die Datei "MainTitle.ogg" in Audacity. Wähle "Effekt" und "Normalisieren...". Ich habe mich jetzt für den Wert -30dB entschieden. Du solltest verschiedene Werte ausprobieren. Wenn dir die Lautstärke gefällt, übernehme den Wert. Als nächstes wähle "Datei" und "Ton exportieren...". Wenn du ein Backup gemacht hast kannst du auf die existierende Datei doppelklicken und die Datei wird überschrieben. Wenn du willst wiederhole das mit den anderen Dateien.

Haben die Audiodateien wirklich einen so starken Unterschied in ihrer Lautstärke? Ich nutz den Lautstärkeausgleich von Windows direkt, tippe mal deswegen merk ich das nicht wirklich...
