Equipping the Gunslinger in SFM

In this guide, I will show you 2 ways to equip the Gunslinger, and the pros and cons of each method.
This is my first SFM guide, so if anything's wrong ar incorrect, let me know in the comments.

The first way
The first way, which I DON'T reccomend, is the fastest and easiest way to do it.

The Method
You probably were using the /hwm/engineer model, weren't you? well, if you just use the /player/engineer model, you can use the gunslinger.
here's a scene I set up with the /player/engineer model:
As you can see, he doesn't have the Gunslinger attached. let's fix that. in the Animation set editor, right-click on the engineer1, the go Set Body Groups>rightarm>parts/dmx/robotarm_bodygroup.dmx
Then voila!
The second, better way.
Were you wondering WHY you normally use the /hwm/engineer? here's why.

the /player/engineer's hand is all shriveled and yucky. but it's the only way to get the Gunslinger! OH NO! let's fix this then, shall we?

The Method
First of all, lets spawn an /hwm/engineer.
Oh no! he's not in the right pose! let's fix this.
go into the Motion editor for the /player/engineer, and right click>Copy Samples.
go into the Motion editor for the /hwm/engineer, and right click>Paste Samples.
Much better.

Now, let's work on giving him the Gunslinger!
first, right click on the /player/engineer and then select the bones for the LEFT arm. like so.
Then select the new scale bones that appeared, then drag all the sliders down for the new bones.
Then do the same for the /hwm/engineer, just for the RIGHT arm.
Ta dah!

BONUS: Adding Cosmetics
First of all, lets give our engie some hats. Like my engie set.
Right click on our /hwm/engie > Add Team Fortress Item > Dogfighter
Oh no! he's only got half a Dogfighter! the fix is easy though. just do it again for the /player/engineer.
Much better.

I like this tutorial, it's very helpful, but just not practical as you'd have to set up the player model for whatever you're about to do before you even start the second process, which is its own long and confusing process.
