ttt_mc_stronghold

Description
ttt_mc_stronghold is a close quarters TTT map with a bunch of custom functions for traitors and innocent alike. See the screenshots for an introduction!

Using the Traitor Tester
1. Use the button on the tester to lift the tester case and ask the testee to step in. You must wait for the round to start before the tester will open.
2. Ask another player to go downstairs into the control room before closing the tester. The tester case and the control room door are synchronized, so the door will close when you lower the case.
3. Use the button again to close the tester and ask the player in the control room to push the truth button. Red means traitor, green means innocent...providing they pushed the truth button, of course.

There is also a shorter version of these instructions written on signs next to the tester.

Tips
  • Familiarize yourself with the map and the traitor areas by flying around in spectator mode
  • There are two different traitor anvils in the map
  • Detonating the TNT using the traitor button has a fuse time, but there is a regular button downstairs to detonate the TNT almost immediately
  • Traitors really can pass through every door at will
  • Use the stone slabs on top of the shelves in the library to access some of the harder-to-reach chests there
  • There's enough time to traverse any path in the water in the traitor area without taking damage as long as you don't linger around
  • The health station acquired by dropping a gold ingot in the hopper has a time limit, so use it while it lasts
  • Not everything is revealed in this guide, so be wary of any unexpected traitor tricks!

While the map can be played as part of a public server map rotation, I feel that the map has the best potential being played by a 4-8 person group of friends because many of the features in the map are easily disregarded otherwise. Most features require cooperation and may take a few rounds to learn. I also used a wooden door on purpose for the generator room to allow for some harmless trolling by everyone. During testing we usually got bored of playing in the dark after a round or two, but I can see a potential issue in this on a public server where players change constantly: there's always going to be that one guy who hasn't had enough of it yet.

The map is finished, but bug reports and small improvement requests are welcome. I will try to update the map if any problems arise.
