Shadowmarks for Player Homes

Description
This mod adds Thieves Guild shadowmarks to player-owned homes. Now you can inform fellow thieves of your status in the Guild, while simultaneously protecting your house and property from any unwanted visitors.

Notes
-----------------------------------------------------
Please note: This mod has no practical effect on gameplay or any other function in the game. It is solely a cosmetic change for roleplaying purposes.

The player must both own the home and have completed the relevant Thieves Guild quest in order for the shadowmark to appear. In most cases, the quest you need to complete is the City-Influence quest for the respective city.

Specifically, the quest requirements are:

Riften: complete Loud and Clear, stage 20 (after Mercer welcomes you into the Guild)
Whiterun: complete Imitation Amnesty
Solitude: complete The Dainty Sload
Windhelm: complete Summerset Shadows
Markarth: complete Silver Lining

Once you have completed the necessary quest and purchased the house, pick up a copy of the book "Shadowmarks" (copies can be found in the Thieves Guild headquarters). Reading "Shadowmarks" will enable the shadowmarks on any qualifying house. If you already have a copy of "Shadowmarks" in your inventory, you must drop the book before reading it.

Breezehome, Hjerim, and Vlindrel Hall all receive one shadowmark each. Honeyside will have two shadowmarks, while Proudspire has four.

This is a very cute mod.. I sadly will never need it.. as it doesnt matter if Im in the guild or not.. or anything rather.. as the bad guys dont ever seem to come in my house... ever.. SOOO... its very good for decor purposes though... and as far as instead using the danger shadow mark.. i think there are more pig headed people out there who are more willing to fight another bad guy before a good guy.. because they are both doing trouble so neither will tattle on the other.. making them more willing to just try it out.

Could you possibly expand this mod to add/change the Shadowmark on your home to different ones? If you read the book on Shadowmarks in the game, you'd know that the upside down triangle connected with a circle at the bottom signifies that beyond said door/entrance is dangerous and you are to enter at your own peril. To be frank, I'd use that symbol on all of my homes.

This mod did not work in my game, i am a full member the Thieves Guild and own Breezehome. but no Shadow Mark so i am going to uninstall the mod unless there is a fix for this issue.

V I support this idea. Would make sense since I usually have several sets of armor and enchanted weapons.
And if you could make it so that thieves may actually try and steal from your house (like they do in-game shops) that would be awesome. Of course you would need to make it so it activates when the player is within range like the regular one ,and have it stop (or become an extremely rare occurrence) once we become members of the thieves guild..

What about adding Shadowmarks on player's homes even if the player DOESN'T join the Thieves Guild? You know, the symbol for lots of good stuff inside? That would be SO cool to see on my houses for my characters that don't want to join the Thieves Guild.

just thinking, should you add the "protected" shadowmark on th other corner of the door?

i love little things like this. they really make the game that much more intense to play.

Thank you so much. i agree with some of the comments in that in order to get a protected status, should require you to at least be a member of the thieves guild. perhaps too once you atain a high rank in another faction, external of the thieves guild, will subject you to having a different mark, perhaps one suggesting that your home is one to be looted. that is of course until you join the thieves guild.
