Hacknet 100% Achievements Guide

A simple guide that should describe in depth how to get all the achievements in this game. I'll link to other guides that may help in further describing what to do to get these achivements.

NOTE: Any incorrect information should be pointed out in order for me to make this guide as accurate as possible.

Quickdraw

How to Obtain:
You can start the Tutorial anytime in the game by typing "Tutorial" into the terminal. Whenever you have control of the terminal during the tutorial, simply type "ps" and look at the ID number listed. Then type "kill [ID NUMBER]" to get the achievement.

To the Wire

How to Obtain:
Find any PC or server that traces you when you start hacking into it and let the timer sit until it's about to hit 0. Be aware that disconnecting after you're below 0.50 seconds won't necessarily give you the achievement.

Makeover!

How to obtain:
A pretty straightforward and hard to miss achievment. At some point not long after joining CSEC you'll be able to download ThemeChanger.exe. All you have to do is type 'ThemeChanger' into the terminal, regardless of whether or not you downloaded a theme.

Hacknet

How to Obtain:
You'll get this when you reach the end of the game. Simple and straight forward.

TRUE ULTIMATE POWER

How to Obtain:
Hack into JMail and look up the mail account "dlocke". He will have an e-mail with an IP address you'll connect you to and a hint for what the password is. If you don't like guessing or searching, the password is yuna. You'll need this password to decypher the Clock.dec file in order to obtain the Clock.exe. Once you have the program, simply run it by typing Clock into the terminal.

It is highly recommended you attempt to do this once you have TraceKill.exe to make this much easier. TraceKill.exe comes later near the end of the game when looking for Bit.

PointClicker

How to Obtain:
In the Entropy Contract Server, pick up the contract "PointClicker" so you have access to this area. Manually upgrade your skills(?) and you'll eventually get to the [50]th upgrade. It doesn't take long at all.

You better not have clicked for those...

How to Obtain:
If you got the PointClicker achievement, then all you have to do is wait a few minutes and you'll have this achievement pop up. Or if you're impatient, rename Mengsk.pcsav to [YOUR NAME].pcsav. Either works.

Rude

How to Obtain:
At some point you will get an e-mail named "Aggression must be Punished". Follow up on the proxy server and delete the file you need to. The hacker Naix should e-mail you and promptly delete an important system file from your PC. After you work your way into his other proxy server via IP address in your PC's log files, copy the x-server.sys file and WebServerWorm.exe files from his server. Delete his system folder before you do a reboot. Once finished, reply to him with a simple "♥♥♥♥ you." or whatever you please. He should respond and you should get the achievement.

Entropy

How to Obtain:
You'll get this pretty early in the game as you progress through the story.

CSEC

How to Obtain:
You'll get this as you progress through the story. It does not matter if you went through /el or just Entropy to get to CSEC. Once you pass CSEC's initiation test, you'll be granted access to them and get the achivement.

/el Sec Champion

How to Obtain:
You'll have to have obtained the "gg wp" e-mail from Naix in order to start the chain of events that will lead you into /el. There are two objectives you must do once in /el in order to get this achievement.

1) Do all of the trials from the first board. (You'll need to do this first anyway.)
2) Hack into the "COME AT ME /EL's Secure SecuLock Drive" from the third board and delete the "DeleteMe.txt"

Completing both of these will give you the achievement and access to CSEC.

rude achievement triggers if the text of your message to either naix's "are you kidding me?" OR entropy's "aggression must be punished" emails contains the word "fuck," it doesnt have to be specifically "fuck you." i said "he fucked me" to entropy and got it.

Quickdraw achievement doesn't work for me. Any idea why?

Rude achievement only requires this:

1. delete the file on naix's server
2. naix emails you
3. reply to it with "f*** you"

That's it. You don't have to mess with his server or anything else.

And, after a little time his attack comes. If you allow his attack you'll need a new x-server.sys file. I grab one ahead of time so I can choose the theme and so I can just rename it and reboot immediately.

DefaultO, no, if you counter Naix's attack with Shell Trap, he is gone out of your life. You gotta revert back to the mission start for it

If anything, you can rm the Bit.pcsav file to your Hacknet name and get the "You better not have clicked for those" achievement, in case you deleted the Mengsk.pcsav file already or can't figure out how to replace the files content.

I played Hacknet again for the second time. The first time I played was a long time ago, so I didn't remember what happens. I read all the text files on the computers to refresh my memory. One of the files said that using a shell can protect you from attacks. I remembered this and started a shell on my own computer, and clicked on "Trap". This prevented my system from crashing. However, I didn't get the IP of the computer that Naix attacked me from. Can I still get the "Rude" achievement after finishing the game? I'm unable to reply to the email because it's indicating that I haven't completed all the required steps.

For the "You better not have clicked for those...", if you already deleted the savefile for the contract, you can instead edit your own save file to max out the upgrades.

(You can reset an existing savefile by just deleting that file in the server).

Once you have a fresh save file, just open it and run `replace 0, 999,`, and if you go play the PointClicker minigame again the achievement will pop-up instantly.

Aoi Tachinana I got it before reading this guide too! I was feeling a tad spicy, I didn't know you could only get it when responding to Naix. lol
