Rust's Steam Item Drop Guide [OUTDATED]

So you are wondering how do you get item drops that you can sell in the Steam Marketplace? This guide will give you a brief idea on how the Rust item dropping works.

The Items

Your items that is obtained in Rust from playing is shown here.
When you receive a drop from Rust it usually appears here as well.

As you go into the game, you can acess your items using the crafting menu and craft the item using the resources needed. It's like a piece of armor but more aesthetic.

From here you can change the skin of the item by clicking on "Change Skin".

Then select the skin you want to use and boom you got your skinned item ready to be crafted.

The tips and tricks

Now that you know about that, Here are some tricks and tips known about Rust's Item drops.

• Items that are sold in the Steam Marketplace will be only removed from the game's Blueprint inventory AFTER you restart the game. This means that when you place your item to the Steam Marketplace, the item stays in your game's crafting window until you quit Rust.
  
  
• You CAN AFK at the homepage of rust and wait for the item to drop. For it to show, restart your rust.
  
  
• The items are dropped based on the time span played. (not confirmed)
