= General informations =
This is a collection of mods, which helps you to experience a much more realistic version of Insurgency. I exclusively play with them by myself. I am open to any tip for better/new mods out there. Just sent me an email: lerkit.de@gmail.com


= Fixing the sound =
Unfortunately there is a bug, which doesn't let the sound load properly. But you can fix this easily. Here are two methods, which will fix your sound. One manually and one automaically
== Method 1: Binding (Manual)==
Important: You have to reset your sound system everytime you start up the game in order to make the sound mods work!
For that bring up your console (usually ^ - it's the key left of 1) and type

bind F11 snd_restart

then press enter. From now on you can restart the sound system by pressing F11. With this new binding you won't need to enter the console anymore.

== Method 2: Autoexec Config (Automatic) ==
This method was initially descriped by ROTFLOLDUDE here:

This is very similar to creating an autoexec file as if it were a cfg file for CS:GO with binds and such. As they are both from the source engine, this fix can probably be applied to almost any source game and source mods.

* Goto your Insurgency directory and go into the cfg folder:
(Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\cfg)
* Right click and create a new text file
* Rename that text file to "autoexec.cfg" without the quotation marks
* Edit the file with a program such as NotePad or NotePad++
* In that file type "snd_restart" without the quotation marks and save the file
* Find "config.cfg" located in that folder and edit it with NotePad or NotePad++
* Goto the very bottom and add "exec autoexec" without the quotation marks and save the file
* Right click "config.cfg" and click properties
* Check the box "Read only" as Insurgency will always remove part 6, and click ok


= How to deactivate the HUD? =
Sometime you want to deactivate the HUD. Especially when you are in videogame photography. Just bind cl_drawhud 0/1 to any key (like descriped with snd_restart above) and you can deactivate it on the go:

bind k cl_drawhud 0
bind l cl_drawhud 1
