Extra Continues
When you are in TITLE Screen:
Left - Left - B - B - B - C - C - C

PS: B and C, correspond to buttons on the original Mega Drive / Genesis game pad. Change the buttons according to your joypad or keyboard configuration.

Street of Rage 2

Cheat mode menu
In the MENU highlight the OPTIONS and then HOLD A and B on controller 2, and HOLD A on controller 1.

A new Menu will appear that allow you to choose difficulty, and a number of lives up to 9!

Street of Rage 3

9 Lives
Go to OPTIONS screen and highlight NUMBER OF PLAYERS, then press UP + A + B + C on controller 2, and RIGHT on controller 1. Now select up 9 lives.

Level Select
In MENU, HOLD B, and press UP, now highlight the OPTIONS in menu, and press START still holding B, wait until you hear a sound. In the Options menu a select stage will apper.

These games are meant to be played without cheats imo. It lowers the replay value. These games are more difficult than Final Fight 1. The second Final Fight was a cake walk.

To unlock Mania difficulty for SoR2 without a second controller I had to go into the input settings and for Player 2 on keyboard set their ABC buttons to Del, End and PgDwn. For some reason they defaulted to the same key making it impossible to hold down two keys at once if that makes sense. =)
