Having 20 same events is way too much ^^'
Third, the village flashback scene, where the player meets Black, feels a little out of place. I didn't really understand why I suddenly got to the middle of a village until after the scene. Tinting the scene could do wonders to make the players realize they're seeing a flashback. I believe making it a bit grayer, and maybe adding a hint of blue, could make it a lot better.
I've played through the Demo, and I think it has potential. While it doesn't really give away anything major about the story, I find interesting enough that I'd like to know it better.
I also found a few things worth mentiong. (multipart because of character limit)
First, the fight with Talon. While it is clear that the fight is intended to be lost, you can actually win it. Without hacking the game :P . Sure, Group heal has a chance of actually not healing the player, and Talon's Headbutt attack can pervent the player from acting for a turn, but proper tactics can mitigate the chances of failure. If you want a fight to be actually unbeatable, then don't make it dependent on pure luck. Maybe you could add Talon a self-healing ability, a tronger attack or a health leeching attack that he'd only use if his health was low enough (like below 50%). Or you could make his attacks do more damage the less health he has.
