This Flak Tower was built in 1944 and adapted as aqua terra zoo from 1956-1958.
The walls of the "Haus des Meeres" (=House of the sea) are 2,5m thick.

Location: Vienna, Austria

Dieser Flakturm wurde 1944 errichtet und in den Jahren 1956 bis 1958 als Aquarium adaptiert.
Die Wände des Haus des Meeres sind 2,5m d-i-c-k.

@[CJ]ThePump It looks quite more horrible then, but I understand for "military areas" an flak tower without aqua terra zoo in it could be cool ^^ Yes, maybe not this one but there are five others in Vienna (those are mostly untouched afaik).

Any chance of a version with the building as it originally looked before conversion? What about the other gun tower (the cylindrical one)?

My parents live just a short walk away from this building. It is definately not a very good looking building, but it is nice to see they made something cool out of it. You did a great job on the model!
