I can't be the only one that loves the work that XIIICaesar has done with 'Franky235's original mod. However, i couldn't help but dislike how some legions have shields that i am not used to from other mods and games. With this mod i plan to create new shield textures that will be inspired by re-enactment groups and mods from previous total war titles.

Each update will include a redesigned texture for Marian, Augustan and Imperial era versions of a legion and their unit cards. I plan to update the mod with new designs at least twice a week until finished.

So far I have completed:

Legio I Germanica

Legio II Augusta

Legio III Gallica

Legio IIII Macedonica

Legio IIII Flavia Felix

Legio V Alaudae

Legio VI Ferrata

Legio VI Victrix

Legio VII Claudia

Legio VIII Augusta

Legio IX Hispana

Legio X Gemina

Legio X Fretensis (also as a naval unit in campaign and custom battles)

Legio XI Claudia

Legio XIIII Gemina

Legio XV

Legio XV Apollinaris (the two XVs are completely different legions :P )

Next:

Legio XII Fulminata, Legio XIII Gemina in no particular order.

When:

At least twice a week, though hopefully every other day

The thing with Gemina is that sometimes, it meaning "Twin(s)", a legion might be named for Romulus and Remus, though I'm not sure about that, being wiki and all

Gemina meant twin, so for example Legio X Gemina was a legion that was involved in a merger of damaged legions to ensure strength is up in at least 1 of the damaged legions, if that makes sense.

Other names like Augusta and Claudia were given to legions in reward for good service to Augustus and Claudius respectively.

The 4th and 5th Macedonica legions just so happened to be in service/raised in Macedonia

These are the most common reasons that Legions have shared names.

I see that many different legions had the same name, for example Gemina, and I don't have the time to research that. A clue ?
