"Reality Check: The Megaldons in the game aren't very far off the conservative (and most scientifically accepted) maximum lengths for the real shark.
Things like a wide FOV, which PC FPS players insist on so much, make them look smaller in-game than they actually are."

actually MAX still original thoughts were 80-100ft, now facts changed to 40-60ft, other scientists say 30-50ft, the truth is the original size used greatwhite teethsize to body mass, which in my opinion is still the closest, as other scientific facts are speculation with no real proof, greatwhites are the second cousin, so go from that, historically we cant go back and check yet, expect the realistic size rather than size down because theres no way, well life finds a way with dino's such as sauropods, so factual size will always be wrong because the only bones you will ever find are the teeth. no dna has proven size change from the original mass, just food sources, weight and lets compare the giga size being totally wrong, completely because the devs liked a movie, well Meg size this shark at 75ft.

so, ARK's mega has the length of the conservative estimate, but the weight of the absolute max (look how fat our meg is!)

I guess this is sorta accurate

bryskye is so damn right...
but apparently many players of ARK seem to ignore the facts...

This ignores that the player character model shrinks when on the saddle. Have someone dismounted and standing on it instead.

my issue is that if you watch someone get on the megalodon they shrink to half their size

remember this is a game where all the creatures are suppose to be subspecies and "evolved"

@BrySky If the dossier picture was used as a basis...it'd be massive. Bigger than just about anything in the ocean today or almost any point in history
