All creatures can get killed in a base raid. All they need to do is throw C4, shoot rockets or headshot all your creatures THEN raid it. However if you follow these instructions you will do great: The devs said in one of the digests that a booby (lol) trap will be able to send you a notification that you are being raided. So what’s going to be graded is that of which will take a long time to kill so you have enough time to get in game.

#1( Born in a Pool of blood) T REXTER

This guy has tons of health, and can defend the base EASY. You can say that the Bronto or mammoth are on equal levels WHICH THEY ARE but they take longer to tame, and do not do as much damage if one of the raiders happens to get near enough to the walls.

#2 (Microwaveable) MICRORAPTOR

It doesnt have a lot of health, but as it side steps past the creatures people will bring to raid your base it attacks players only, basically causing mayhem for any and all who are raiding you at the moment, giving you enough time to get the ♥♥♥♥ on and protect your palace.

#3 (I am out of jokes) YOURSELVES

You are the hardest things to kill. Its easy for you to dodge bullets, get on your T rex and murder everyone unlike your un driven creatures who run against a wall trying to attack people rather than open a door because its an NPC. You are the only thing that can defend your base. So just set up booby traps mate.

#1 (Spooder from another moother) BROODMOTHER LYRIX

Spawns many spiders, spits out acidic gew that paralyzes you and blinds you like a Dilo. But easy to kill if you got 2 guys killing spiders and 2 guys killing mother.

#2 (No black dinosaurs?) CAINEKONG

Its a boss creature. Untill further information is released or its implemented in game to be able to be tested this is all the information factual. Its name is unknown so because its as white as cocaine its CAINEKONG XD

#3 (WOW you just copyed Skyrim) DRAGONS ♥♥♥♥♥
They have yet to release a Dragon Dossier but I want to believe they exist...

Carry weight first, then speed after, Kk?
Obviously the Quetzal is the best mode of transporting goods fast from one place to another as it carries large quantities, this is just the list for ground mounts in case you can't tame this bad boy.

The gallimimus will not be on this list until tests have been concluded (Meaning until its in the game and I can test this bad bird)

#1 (My ♥♥♥♥ is taller) BRONTOSAURUS

The Bronto carries the most amount of weight, so if your going on a berry wood or stone run bring this guy with you and carry back tons of whatever resource your collecting. I must state that the Quetzal is the most suggestive one to use because it flies in the sky making moving said collected gear back to the base a whole lot safer instead of a slow bronto that can get raided easily. You choose. You wouldnt bring this guy on a metal run unless you live on or near a mountain, the bronto is slow as balls so I would only assume you wouldnt bring it far.

it has great defense for anything on it due to its damage. So if you really need to defend what your carrying rather than an extra weight holder then bring a Rex. The reason I did not put the Carno or mammoth in this category however fast and useful they would be a tertiary weight holder. The mammoth has its uses but barily ( how to spel?) has more carry weight than the T Rex.The mammoth is short term movement, the T. rex is long term movement.
Pros: Can defend its basically equal weight to the mammoth unlike the mammoth
Cons: Chuck Norris has no cons (However the Quetzal would be faster and has more wieght capacity)

Now is for traveling SPEED
Obviously flight mounts are the best way to travel, this is the ground list. Pter is fastest

#1 (Jordan airforces) Sabertooth

It is the fastest creature in game. The end. (Due to its jump, it can push itself very fast, spam this and fly across the map)

#2 (Ohh dear) MEGALOCEROS

This guy sprints just like the raptor, but its ability to jump over obstacles similar to the sabertooth give it second place, but do to its inability to just as far as the saber keep it here. If your looking for a fast mount, this bambi is your go to.

#2 (Slim Shady) RAPtor

2nd fastest creature in game, just sprints, so I suggest increasing its stamina (The lightning bar)

DIREWOLF
So basically this guy is the same as the raptor, but less fast going full sprint. They just look really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool!

Crystal Farming

#1 (Lord) Sabentooth

It collects more hide/armor from the creatures of the island. Plus is super fast and good at collecting meat, so this is the #1 creature to farm hide and other armor mats. However if you need more chitin and ceratin for cementing paste this guy will be obsolete once the snail comes out, so just use it for hide, travel or meat farming when this occurs.

#2 (Literally an ant eater) MEGATHERIUM

This guy farms chitin like there is no tomorrow! If you want to get more chitin this is your man! It does farm more chitin from bugs than sabers do.

Meat Farming

#1 (Skeletor) SPINOSAUR

The reason spino is #1 is its attack speed leaves the T. rex in the dust. It's all terrain abilities allow it to farm meat even quicker, and you basically farm equal amounts of meat so it's #1. I would suggest however you tame a saber over a raptor if your going for a tier 2 meat farmer before taming one of these guys in the big leagues!

Now you can say the carno is better due to its speed, however the T rex has more damage, and if you just increase the stamina boom its better than a carno. You do not travel as fast, and your bigger so you use up a lot of stamina so that's why it is second.
Pros: Kills things easily
Cons: Slow as balls

#1 (More like Berrysaurus) BRONTOSAURUS

The bronto is by far the best plant farmer due to its magnificent AoE to collect 30-40 plants in 1 swing. Unlike the gigant, you control how it farms making its speed of collection faster than the auto farm of the gigantopithicus.

#2 (This guy again) MAMMOTH

You can cry all you want by stating how much better the ankylosaurus or the trike is but its speed at collecting berries however minuscule is better than theirs. Plus it has WAY more weight capacity, making way more amounts faster.
Pros: can also farm wood
Cons: Large, hard to maneuver to get between rock plants

#3 (Straight gatherin some shrooms) PEGOMASTAX

Reason for it being a better farmer than a Gigant is that it also farms rare mushrooms and such to create kibble or very rare but needed products. They are the same as they farm as NPC's but when it comes to gathering the rare materials, Pego takes the cake.

Due to its auto farming abilities it beats everything else and its uses to raid and ride etc. Ofcourse if you are never offline then I would suggest getting an ankylosaurus over a trike for its uses if you feel like not trying to get a gigantopithicus.

Cons: slow AI farm

PVP (Just players, not base raiding)

Information real quick: Obviously T rex, Spinosaur, Saber, raptor they are all good at pvp, and if you really wanted to use a big creature to go kill people, you need to use the T rex because of its base damage, or the saber for its ability to chase down targets or the raptor (If you increase its damage) to attack people fast (I mean that because its attacks are like .5 seconds apart, if you increase its damage it may do more damage that a bigger creature because of how fast those damage points add up). This PVP category is specific to creatures that are not the original creatures of the island, new ones. I expect you to learn and contrast the differences between the first dossiers to these and see which ones you want to tame for PVP!

#1 (Wolverinosaurus) THERIZINOSAUR

This creature actually has the ability to BYPASS armor! If you legit just increase its damage its only going to attack life points. If they have 10,000, and the damage is 500 per hit, thats like, 20 hits and hes dead! If your just going for kills, this would be the perfect attacker as it seriously just attacks the players lifepoints.

#2 (Cuts hair AND wrists) ALLOSAURUS

This guy has the ability to slow down targets and well as put a bleed effect on them. What this means is they slow down and now have losing health overtime. If that is lessened by their armor I do not know, however the slow effect is key due to players having extremely fast movement speeds, its important to slow that target down to hit it, the bleed effect is just a bonus!

#3 (Talk about a squirter) TUSOTEUTHIS

This guy grabs enemies, slowly makes then onconcious and then kills them. If they get into danger they can squirt ink and run away blinding the target. this is the perfect WATER PVP MOUNT (Next to the mega shark, I have yet to test its durability of both the sharks torpor and the squids longetivity against shark bites, but this guy is a killer octopus)

Raiding Uses

The question is: Is air a better raid? Is ground a better raid? Does the Ankylo’s tail swipe deal more damage than the T rex's bite? Air is for your damage, Ground is for creature damage, the ankylos tail swipe does NOT do more damage than the T rex's bite due to their base damages being far different. So on with the guide!

Its bite does the most damage in game, so obviously it does super amounts of base damage. However the reason rex beats bronto is because it would take forever to get to the base you want to raid, these guys are easy to ride.

#2 (It’s a bird, it’s a plane. NO its) BRONTOSAURUS

Yes The bronto does the most amount of base damage due to its tale swipe. However the reason it is second is because it is slow as balls.
Pros: Huge damage
Cons: Slow as balls

#3 (Its like riding knives) SPINOSAURUS

Similar to the T rex but only just behind in damage it can break a base almost at the same speed, however its base damage is low but its attack speed is high making it a Meh for a raiding creature. Now you can say the ankylo beats this but it is also slow as balls, the carno sucks and the pacer may be good or better if it is similar to a bronto.

#4 (Smaller than my penis) MICRORAPTOR

Bring a batch of these guys with you on a raid and the opposing tribe will leave the server in no time. Used primarily for PVP these guys pass up anything bigger than players and attack players. So if your going for a raid, they are target specific and will allow enough trouble to occur for you to deal super damage to anyone logged on, giving you tons of time to collect their ♥♥♥♥ and leave.

#4 (You wont believe this) DODO

Due to being able to place C4 on this bad boy, you can carry it with an argentavis, drop it on a base and “What the fu-BOOOOOM” if you catch my drift.
Pros: Allah Snackbar
Cons: Easy to kill

Rare Creatures

(2 slow 2 furious) ACHATINA

Its ability to create cementing paste is unparalleled in important abilities for ARK creatures. Tame this guy and get a metal base in no time.

(Michael Jordan) DUNKleosteus

Its ability to collect oil and stones at sea level gives it the #2 spot for ARK Creature specific uses. You dont have to go to Iraq, all the oil is IN THE OCEAN!

(More like gimmetrodon) DIMETRODON

Its ability to block friendly players from both the heat and cold make fires, cloth and hide armor obsolete (I guess the AC too because all you need is food not a generator). Get this guy and you can stay cozy all night loooong (If you know what I mean)

(I cant breaf) LIOPLEURODON

Due to its ability to let out oil from its skin you will be able to hold your breath longer underwater so that you can be able to farm oil and pearls etc tons faster. Dont waste points on oxygen or eat that 900 second stew because LIO's got your back! (Sucks for you plebs who have 400 oxygen)

Its ability to knock out underwater creatures rather than use a crossbow makes this creature a must have for any and all water bases due to the fact that those particular sea castles are gonna have a whole bunch of underwater dino's with this bad girl >:E

(This creature is S H I T) DUNG BEETLE

He has the ability to refine feces (Which would be a lot if you have tamed some animals, they ♥♥♥♥ all the time as well as your character) into OIL! OIL IS IMPORTANT, but also if you farm then it refines the poop into even better poop for that.

He spits out ink, you can harvest it into oil. More oil.

(I got 99 levels but a mole aint one) LYSTROSAURUS

He increases your XP gain when you are around him. What even.....

(Lisper Whisper) BLEEZEBUFO

This guy creates cementing paste while eating bugs? I dunno but more cementing paste and chitin!

(Thats one shiny fade) ANGLER

They can be tamed and used to see the depths of the oceans easier with light (Just turn up your gamma :I) but also can be farmed for lightbulbs you can use rather than torches!

OVIRAPTOR

This guy can steal eggs, but he can also MAKE YOUR TAMED DINOS MATE! He can seriously just stand around and force them to mate to make eggs so you can MAKE KIBBLE! This is DOPE

This guy actually can be farmed for POLYMER! LIKE WHAAAAAAAT?

(Rip Squidward) CNIDARIA

This guy right hur gives sedative drops that can be used. It states "Incredibly strong and fast acting sedative - Tribes farm this for the use of its sedatives" So go get some super sedatives!

Stone Farming

#1 ( Jesus the Dilo confusion) DOEDICURUS

It is the one and only creature in game for collecting stone. That's it

#2 (Kankles) ANKYLOSAURUS

This is the only other creature that's an ok stone farmer and is used for everything else making it a good choice. Unless Ofcourse the pachy will have the ability to break rocks and get more stone, I would just use this one.
Pros: Also collects flint
Cons: gets minimal stone ( you might just want to pick stones up instead)

Thatch Farming

This list like all others will be most useful to least useful, so if your looking straight for the answer, its right below. All the creatures in the game collect different levels of thatch. However if you remove all of those that are wood specific your left with ones who are good at other jobs but for this guides sake the best creature to farm thatch would be the bronto due to its massive AoE it can collect tons of stacks of thatch and berries.

#2 (Spike Leeosaurus) ANKYLOSAURUS

The Ankylosaurus is the only other creature I would tame due to its overall value. The trike you could say is on equal turf when it comes to collecting thatch but the ankylosaurus has more uses than the trike making it superior for its diverse uses.
Pros: Used for many uses
Cons: Slow as balls

Untamable

This list shows all untamable creatures currently. #1 (Major League Farming): MAMMOTH

The mammoth is quite fast for its weight and size, however its the only creature within the game that has the ability to farm the most amount of wood with much more efficiency and quantity than any other creature. You can say the bronto with its massive tall would collect more wood. However its ability to collect wood is so small that the majority of collected items would be of thatch, thus meaning that the mammoths quantity of wood outweighs the quantity of trees the bronto can swing down. 1 mammoth, 0 bronto.

There is no other creature in game that comes close to being a good wood farmer besides the beaver :I However if you really need something to collect wood right now, it would have to be the bronto. Reason for that is its use overall from base raiding, thatch collection, berry farming. You might as well use it for wood in the mean time and get some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ berries for that huge mammoth.
Pros: Used for many other things
Cons: Meh wood farmer

#3. (Nerf): GIANT BEAVER

Well ♥♥♥♥, this is almost as good as the mammoth however its AI is slower than a players reaction to attacking wood, meaning that the mammoth and bronto is on top due to being a faster wood collector. HOWEVER the Giant beaver is in fact an auto collector so when your in need of wood and don't have a mammoth or your getting off then turn this baby on and wake up with a wet beaver with its max carry weight in wood (LOL WTF DID THIS SAY).
