Oh what the heck?  I told myself to wait a month or two before getting a fancy unusual weapon!  I bet I'll be able to pick up this very same gun for half the price or less.  Ah well, I saw the weapon I wanted (Medi-Gun) with the effect that I wanted (Isotope) in an acceptable condition (Field-Tested) and average grade (Mercenary) that was also strange so I just couldn't resist.  But hey, that means I can bring a video to you sooner!  That's worth something ... right?

Anyway, unusual weapons!  They can only be found in opening Powerhouse and Concealed Killed cases that randomly drop when completing contracts.  Like unboxing unusuals there's a very rare chance that it could be an unusual, and an even rarer chance that it's strange.  There are four effects that are -

HOT makes your weapon glow red with fire particles rising off of it.  COOL glows blue with snowflakes falling underneath it.  ENERGY ORB puts a swirling dark rainbow of colors around your weapon.  And finally ISOTOPE is a pulsating green that leaves a glowing trail behind it.

For the medi-gun Isotope is THE best effect hands down in my opinion.  Why?  Because the green mixed with the red or blue of your medi-gun beam looks incredible.  I don't know about you, but two bright colors coming off of your weapon is extra amazing.

One last thing is Valve's claim that no two weapons will be alike.  I think I can see that as my gun has a blood spot on the way back of the tube that shows up just underneath where it plugs into the backpack.  Not sure how often weapons get that blood splatter (I thought it was just the high tier of weapons) or if every medi-gun has it.  Either way, it's pretty cool!

I mean, pretty ISOTOPE!
