Edmonton Alberta

Description
My hometown (though now I've moved to Saskatchewan but I'll be back!) Edmonton Alberta. It's still a work in progress, and I've taken a few liberties.

This map includes St. Albert, but not Sprice Grove, Fort Saskatchewan or Sherwood Park. (unless you get a tile extender, then you get Sherwood park)

- Railways still need to be added.
- Better speeds along the river.
- I've not put the start point where you'd think I would, instead I've but it more west along the Saskatchewan river.
- I've added some coal in the western part of the city because there is one west of Edmonton, but it's a little futher out, but I wanted to have some more options.
- I've also added some oil along the north for the same reasons above. Otherwise lots of farm land along the river.
- And becuse it's Canada, lots of trees.

Some rivers may be bigger than you'd imagine, but they don't really work well when made smaller.

If you ( or someone ) could do one of Saskatoon, Regina and Prince albert id be up to the challenge to build them out as best as i could to scale. Seeing as i live in saskatoon myself.

Nice work though.

Edmonton was once a coal town the entire north end of the river was once a coal mine with the large part of the population living in the strathcona and caldar areas, with a bit where jasper ave was once the heart of the coal mining community. As someone who has flown over edmonton alot you have the map layout almost perfect tho the elevations need to be tweeked a bit. still will play with it and see if i can to it. Go Oilers :steiner:

You got the elevations wrong in a lot of places.... Also, You might as well just complete the Anthony Henday in the north east circle...

Good idea. :)

The river valley, long ago, had many, many coal mines. The leftovers of them are currently delaying some construction projects downtown. So, conceivably, you could line the river with coal resources.

I barely got st. albert on there and you're a little further out. You could 'technically' add it with the map extender
