I do plan to update this guide one last time for Windows10, but that's probably something for next summer or even later.
I used this guide with such great success on my windows7Pro64bit Laptop, but alas, it simply didn't have the GPU power or Memory to allow me to enjoy the gameplay & I never completed it.
I just bought a new setup, which of course, is running Windows 10 (non-pro)64bit. I'm not thrilled about the OS, but honestly I'm way too stoked to be able to play without chunky lag poop that I am not gonna screw with it.
That being said, I plan to surf as much info about Fallout3GOTY compatability issues & try to install everything as near to this guide as I can, only with Win10.
Anyone already ahead of me on this & wants to pass me all knowledge & skill needed on a silver platter will be complimented & thanked profusely.
Cheers
I followed it verbatim & my game is running great (mind you - an a dual processor laptop that is really a c*nt to use) - Not only did this deal help me get everything up & running stable & looking great - but in the process I learned enough to tweak mods, the game, & my PC.
A million thanks. I am tucking links to this guide in every thread where someone is asking questions about a new FO3 playthrough- modded or not. This guide is the definitive FO3 Gameplay solution imho.
