Incomplete Secrets and Achievements Guide(might be complete in the distant future)

A lightweight guide to finding all unlocks and achievements in Magicka 2.

Introduction

This will be a fairly lightweight guide without much explanation but it should do the job for people who are struggling to find a particular achievement or unlockable.

Also, you should beat the level on all difficulty levels first as you well get unlocks from that as well.

Since this is my first guide it is taking me a while to get used to things but I'll probably finish it in the next few days.

!Some of the things under Achievements also count as Unlocks!

In case you are still missing something after following this, message me because I do have everything unlocked I might have just forgotten to add it in.

The last unlock in Chapter 5 is probably bugged, or no one has found it yet. I have messaged Paradox over Twitter to ask them if there is in fact a bug.

Prologue

Achievements

Pet Sematary


After you have acquired the rock spell come back to here and throw one on the skeleton.

Burying the Past & Respect your Elders [Unlock]



Go into the Veterans Room, speak to him and then kill him.

Unlocks

Cheese Slicer





Destroy this barrier with rocks. In the following room you'll find a Goblin, kill him and you'll unlock the cheese slicer.

Training sword & Training staff



Do what the training dummy says and he'll give you the training gear.

Chapter 1

Achievements

STRIKE! Oh, Wrong Game...



Walk in between them and you get the achievement.

Horse Whisperer



Kill this horse and you will advance in the "Horse Whisperer" achievement.

Unlocks

Mallet



Pick up the Mallet on the ground.

Jester staff



Electrocute the machine and the Jester staff drops.

Chapter 2

Achievements

Burying the Past & Respect your Elders [Unlock]



Talk with the veteran and then kill him. This advances the Achievements.

Summer is Fleeting





Talk to John Frost to advance the achievement.

Unlocks

Pink Robe







Talk to the balloon multiple times to get the robe.

Backstabber





Follow the path and get the Backstabber out of the chest.

Wood Axe



Extinguish the flames and take it.

Rune Sword





Protect him from dying and then he'll give you the sword if you talk to him.

Chapter 3

Achievements

Shroom We Will Be Together



Activate the mushroom and pick up the small mushroom that drops. You have to carry this to a guy in Chapter 8 (pictures in the Chapter 8 section) on Normal, Hard or Bananas to get the achievement and the corresponding unlocks.

Into the Caves of Insanity





The journals you have to read for the quest (might be missing one, please comment if I am)

Even Dead Gods Can Die [Unlock]



You attack the shrine with the corresponding elements, kill the enemies and then you get the "Skeleton Staff" and achievement progress for "Even Dead Gods Can Die".

Unlocks

Ghost Sword




After lighting the candles outside you have to complete the puzzle (just randomly hit the crystals until it works) and then a chest with the Ghost Sword spawns.

New Pry Tool




After talking to the tombstone the "New Pry Tool" drops from the sky.

Another John Frost

Even Dead Gods Can Die [Unlock]



Attack the altar with the corresponding elements, kill the enemies and get the achievement progress.

Unlocks

Yummy Carrot



Pick up the carrot.

Little Chemist




It's a coop puzzle. You'll figure it out.
