Roman Shield wall

A standart shield wall for the Roman infantry, untill CA or someone else will create a fulcum* formation

Close shieldwall was a common formation used by the late roman army.
In the mod, the default shieldwall ability was added, meaning that the representation of the roman shield wall will not be 100% accurate. The real shield wall was even more tight, the shields covered each other, and the melee weapons appeared through the gaps made by the oval shields.
The soldiers will throw javelins and plumbatae while in formation. if advancing, it is possible to stay in formation by clicking behind the enemy unit.

*Fulcum, Folkon (name is from the Strategikon) was a defensive formation in which the advanced ranks formed a sloping shield wall. strictly speaking, it combined the classical testudo and the phalanx:

On this occasion I hope someone will find a way to improve the roman tactics by adding the fulcum to the game engine.
