Berserker Strategy Bossing Guide
By RoyMustang
Lv.23 Berserker here : RoyMustang

You have two play styles to play as a berserker. Remeber its not about getting the kills. Just hitting them or blocking them will give you exp. Attacking headlesss zeds will still grant you exp.

I hope this guide with my playstyle helps let me know if you would like me to add more. Cheers.

*** Play Styles***
Theres really only 2 plays styles. Either you run with your teammate or f* it lets face it you know your a boss and youd rather work alone. You are a tank afterall.

1st style just means you work with your teammates and aggro mini bosses so they can finish them off.

2nd style means your a lone wolf ready to onslaught all the challenges ahead.

***Rounds Guide to EXP
Im making this section to help guide you on an easier experience with the berserker class.

---(Rounds 1)---
The best solution is to run around and look for weapons to sell. Your top priority is to afford the nail gun then the pulverizer. Dont worry because of the game mechanics Zeds will still be spawning around you so you can still get exp.

---(Round 2)--- Do not buy armor (Armor is only critical during chainsaw, flesh eater and the boss). If you scavenged successful you should have the nail gun by now. Go ahead and use scatter shot for mobs and single for small mobs. Do not worry about dealing headshots. Your job is to inflict damage so you can gain experience. You do not have to kill a Zed to get experience. You just need to inflict damage on them once. I'm sure you have noticed your teammates are finishing the Zeds off for you anyways with their shottys and assault rifles.

--(Round 3)--- No armor required. Resupply the nail gun. Continue with focusing on inflicting damage with the nail gun scatter shot and single.

--(Round 4)-- If all goes well. At this point you can buy some armor if you havent found any yet. If need be don't resupply the nailgun and grab the pulverizer. Keep the same goal in mind which is to hit as many Zeds as you can. Read my section on how to fight the chainsaw zed

--(Round 5-10)-- Keep your Nailgun and pulverizer. When you see a Scrake or a Fleshpound focus on killing all the Zeds around him or wounding them with your nail gun and start guiding the Scrake to an open area to control him. If a Fleshpound is coming make sure to use the pulverizer to parry all his attacks while your team inflicts damage. Focus on staying in front of his face and predicting his attack (parry) then start walking backwards and get ready for the jump attack or his sprint attack, parry and start walking back again (dont treat him like a Scrake). Keep using the nailgun till you run out of ammo then use the pulverizer.

I Hope this helped your gaming experience.
***Weapon of Choice***

...Pulverizer and nailgun all the way... great knockback. hard blow kills bloats and screamers one hit. The nailgun is perfect to murder lingering Zeds around Scrakes to safely control him and the fleshpound.
***All bosses***
***Scrake***
- The best way to solo a Scrake without taking damage is to use the pulverizer make sure to lure him in an area with space to use this technique. Im going to say this once, NEVER RUN AWAY FROM A SCRAKE WHEN HES MAD AND CHASING YOU (YOU WILL DIE). ALWAYS RUN STRAIGHT AT HIM (I choose to run through his right side). If done correctly he will miss you. At this point quickly run behind his back and focusing on staying behind his upper top half. (Notice how his body starts twisting all weird) Focus on staying behind the top half. IF you happen to lose control stay calm and decide whether you can still get behind his back or if you need to run and get some distance in order to run at him again. Once you have gotten the hang of it. Go ahead and use the heavy swing on the pulverizer. Other stick with light attacks until you can successfully stay behind him with ease.

***Flesh Pound***
- Okay. Fleshpound. First off you will need to master parrying and learn his attacking behaviors. Secondly, your job is to parry him till your team kills him. You will fail many times and take lots of damage but the more you practice the more your parrying will improve. Pull out your pulverizer and get ready to parry his jump attack. Once he lands and you have parried it. stay in front of him and getting ready to parry his next attack. Now start walking backwards adding space which will make him leap, then parry stay in front of him and get ready to parry again. Now add some space and get ready for the leap attack. He should be dead by now. Once you get the hang of parrying you can start adding attacks but i dont recommend it till you can parry him well.

***Vans***

- The easiest boss ever. Treat him as if he was a Scrake user. Once the round starts plan to hide behind a corner waiting for him to run by so you can easily get behind him without taking ranged damage. If you stay close to him he will only try to melee you, remember to always stay behind his back and as soon as you see white smoke coming from his body run because he is going to try and grab someone. NEVER TRY AND TREAT HIM LIKE A SCRAKE WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT ASWELL BECAUSE THIS WILL FORCE HIM TO DROP POISON GERNADES AT HIS FEET WHICH MIGHT KILL YOU OR THE OTHER GUY WHOS TRYING TO STAY BEHIND HIS BACK. Once the smoke clears get ready to get behind him again and rinse and repeat until he dies.
