Welcome, ladies & gentlemen!

A-ha, how y'all doing? Now, the name of the game is to answer truest to yourself. There's no right and wrong, everyone's a winner! Ooorrr a loser, depending how you think about it. Life is all about perception, you see. Onto the first question!

You're a murderer, we all know it. But do you think you are?


Close Your Eyes is an early 2014 horror game I made for Ludum Dare 29 in two days. While there were elements of the game I liked, there were a lot of problems with it, so I've decided to spend a few more days on it, remove elements and sections I didn't like, cut down on the long 'walking' segments, and add a lot of new content to make it really a whole new game.

Through a stroke of sheer luck, you've managed to escape death row. Taking to an underground subway, you try to find your salvation. Can he break free of the past that binds you, and please, can you close your eyes? Just close them.

Most sprites, music, sound effects, and voicing are by myself. Art is by Rincs. If you decide to play, make sure to install the font in the font folder if the text appears off-adjacent with the game window and trails off the screen.

@EVIL DR.VON TACOS: If edgy is what you pulled from it, that's your judgement to make but certainly wasn't my intention. Though in general, if you thought this was edgy you musn't expand your horizons very often. In my opinion, this wasn't any edgier than many folklore stories out there.

@Gunning Banana : While this should be working, I heavily recommend the version of this game available on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/377330/

The final Steam release is over twice as long as this version of the game, and will definitely work as a game. This workshop is the inner workings, kind of, of the older version of the game (2nd of 3 versions).
