Custom Songs for In-Game Radio
By AlphaMerch
I will be quickly showing you how to import MP3 songs to your GTA 5 radio and listen to it while cruising on the ingame radio.

-Works in both singleplayer AND online.

-Tool for converting youtube videos to MP3 files: http://www.youtube-mp3.org/

-If you choose the radio setting, songs will be in random order.

-Although you can have Self Radio in online, people will not be able to hear your music. Instead they will hear their own Self Radio(thanks to Pizza Delivery for clearing that up)

-If you have a lot of songs you wish to copy over, you can use shortcuts and it will work perfectly(thanks to PureRok for testing)

Moving MP3 Files
Once you have your MP3 files, copy them and put them in:
C:\Users\NAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music

NOTE: For it to work, you must have at least 4 MP3 files in there.
NOTE: You can use shortcuts instead of copying and pasting.
NOTE: If your songs and GTA 5 are on different hard drivers, it may cause stuttering.
Activation
Once you have put your MP3 songs in the file, enter the game.

Go into your menu, settings, then audio.

Scroll to radio station, and keep scrolling through the different radio stations until you find ''Self Radio''. Once you select it, go down and select ''Perform Quick Scan for Music'', then once that's done, select ''Perform Full Scan for Music''.

After all that, go to ''Self Radio Mode''. You'll see there are 3 modes: radio, sequential, and random.

Radio - Plays through your songs with small breaks between them, which is where radio announcers from other radio stations talk about random stuff.

Sequential - Plays through the songs in the order you put the MP3 files in

Random - Self explanatory
Have fun!
It's a very quick and easy process. Comment if this guide worked for you, and comment if it didn't. I'll respond if you have trouble getting this to work.

FAQ
NOTE: This FAQ will be regularly updated with new information I find. What you see here is the best information I've found to deal with certain problems people face. If you find something here that is incorrect/missing, let me know in the comments so I can update it.

Will other people in online be able to hear my music?

No, when you are in the same car as another player and turn on your self radio, they will NOT be able to hear your songs. Instead, they will hear their own songs they've set for their own self radio.

Why are the songs so quiet?

This issue is not to do with the game, but the file itself. The sound level of the music is dependent on the medium sound level of the song. What I mean by that is when you use the slider to change volume, it's automatically set at the halfway point, which can be troublesome since it's overlapped by different sounds in GTA 5 and sounds quiet. You can use MP4 files to fix this, but if that doesn't work, here is another step:

Install and open MP3Gain, set the 'Target "Normal" Volume' to 93.0 or 93.5, find the songs you want to add to Self Radio using the program's 'Add File(s)' or 'Add Folder', highlight all songs once loaded and select 'Track Analysis' to see how much track gain is necessary, then simply press select 'Track Gain' to automatically adjust the tracks gain to 93.0 or 93.5! ''

Is the ''Radio'' setting sequential or random?

Choosing the ''radio'' setting will put the songs in a random order.

How do I convert YouTube videos to MP3?

Follow the instructions on www.youtube-mp3.org to do so.

What files does GTA 5 allow?

GTA 5 allows MP3, M4A, WMA, WMP, MP4

I'm not sure if you've tested this, but if me and my friends both put the exact same songs in the exact same order into our gta v music file, would we hear the same songs?
