Important Note on 1.2.1
This is the final version I'll be releasing for Falskaar. It's been an amazing few years but I've decided to move on and no longer update or support Falskaar. I still encourage you to play and enjoy it, there just won't be any more changes/additions in the future.

Falskaar is a new lands mod that adds an entirely new worldspace to the world. It's accessed by a dungeon the first time, then by boat from then on out. Falskaar's goal was to sharpen my skills in almost all areas around the board, with a focus in level and dungeon design. The result is that there is at least a little bit of everything. There is a new land, places, people, quests, dungeons and more for the player to experience. It adds roughly 20+ hours of content, and favors all types of characters.

An entirely new land independent of Tamriel, roughly the size of 2-3 Skyrim holds.
20-30+ hours of gameplay.
26 quests, including a 9 quest long main story, and 17 side quests! (Along with some unmarked content)
New items including new books, recipes, weapons and armors. (A mix of brand new, and retextured)*
Two new spells and a new shout.*
A bard with several unique new songs.
A soundtrack containing 21 brand new tracks composed by Adamm Khuevrr just for Falskaar, adding more than 60 minutes of new music!
A fully voiced experience, featuring almost 30 semi-professional and professional voice actors and actresses.
* Weapons, armor and spells were not the focus of this mod. As such, do not expect grand things in these areas, they are simple little touches to make everything a bit less vanilla.

- Falskaar only requires the latest version of Skyrim. (As of July 12th 2013,
- It does NOT require any DLC.
- It does NOT require any additional utility mods like SKSE.

How to Start Falskaar/What level should you be?

IMPORTANT!: When you first load up your game with the mod active, WAIT for a few hours (in Skyrim time) to let Falskaar's content and characters settle down. This will help avoid issues if you manage to reach the content 'too quickly'. (Like blasting through the first dungeon. Do it fast enough, and the first cut scene gets wonky)

To start Falskaar, go to Riften and speak with Jalamar OR you can go straight into Echo Deep Mine, a new dungeon just northeast of Riften. Jalamar will either be outside around the market, inside the northern gate, or inside the Bee and Barb.

The mod does not have a level requirement. It scaled in a similar manner to Skyrim, ideally providing a balanced experience for players regardless of their level. However, like Skyrim, if you're level 80 you may find bandits to be rather trivial. Mods that alter scaling and banditry/enemies in Skyrim will not affect Falskaar bandits as they are a unique setup. See compatibility (below) for more information.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT use the console during this to set stages, open doors or disabled objects! Falskaar has been rigorously tested and nothing should be broken, so by doing this you void any hope for support, and will most likely break stuff.

Falskaar is also available on the Skyrim Nexus here:

*The INTRO and OUTRO videos are available here:
* OUTRO also available on Youtube, here (Spoilers, duh!):
* INTRO will not be uploaded to Youtube, as it's a short 15 second titlecard.

*Unfortunately Steam Workshop's setup does not allow me to include the intro/outro videos that are included with the Nexus version of the mod. I recommend you grab these ! The experience will be better and make more sense.

The mod is bugged. I'm at the point where I've gotten the first key, and I need to meet back with Agnar, but nothing happens. I don't have a dialog option to continue, and he just sits or stands at a table doing nothing, no matter what I do.
the mod is corrupt and reinstalls itself over and over... gj you ruined my skyrim playthrough

I do love this mod, but I have one complaint: the dialogues in the main quest are too damned long. Nothing wrong with the voice acting, nothing wrong with the story line, love the scenery, great quest, but to have to sit there and twiddle my thumbs while the NPCs have an insanely lengthy discussion about what to do about the BBG is agonizing. If there was some interactive dialogue I would at least feel like I was doing something significant. Instead, I start the scene, go start the coffee pot, chat with my husband a bit, play with the cat, etc. When I come back, they might actually be finishing up. I've sat through it and nothing of real significance is said that couldn't have been said in a more concise manner. The main quest's ending is also somewhat of a let-down for me, but aside from those two things it's a great mod with engaging side quests as well.

Review Quickies
Falskaar is a mod which brings us a new World Space called "Falskaar", the whole area is at least the size of Solstheim from the Dragonborn DLC, you can get to the World Space either by talking to the new character added into Riften, or going there right away, doing the former option causes the first quest to start up, and the enemies you would fight in the latter be dead excluding a weakend Centurion, while the latter has the enemies you would fight if you never chose the first option, and the quest doesn't start as early.
Pros: Tons of new areas to explore, with cool mini islands you can go to and even visit an accessable area.
Entire new World Space
Fully voiced NPCS
An entire new quest line
Cons: Falskaar is TOO FLAT, seriously, Novajam joked about it being Lorkahn's ironing board, that's how flat it is!
Sometimes one of the characters mispronounce a word, though this problem happens all the time in mods.

How do you create a customary map for World Spaces?

Mod looks good but I can't complete the first mission after going through the portal. Got past all the bandits and I'm right next to the blacksmith in the cage but the guy you first meet is just standing there doing nothing and no matter what, he won't open the cage.

Amazing mod! The best I have played so far by a mile!

A really good mod! Just one question though. IS there anyway to get back to Skyrim early on in the game? Also the gate just outside the portal cave wont open. I had to disable collisions to get through.
