Introduction
While placing residental and other areas is very simpel because of their flexibility in occupied space, the planning for the public service buildings can be much harder. Nothing is more disturbing as having your street layout finished, recognizing that hte empty space isn't big enough to fit for your new University.

Instead of being in the need of re-building complete parts of your city this list may help you to plan ahead a little bit better.

Some notes on this list:
  • The list isn't complete yet because I haven't unlocked all unique building or monuments at the moment.
  • The used unit are the single cells of the grid along a road.
  • Along a straight road there are normally 4 units for functional areas.
  • The list contains the 10 objects from the Special Edition and the Pre-order, too.
  • Even if I determined the numbers as accurate as I could there might be mistakes at the moment. In this case please report me and I will change it.

there are two basic elementary schools, suburbia is 6x4 and vanilla is 6x5 (or vice versa, not sure)

Seems like there's a typo; Elementary School appears to take up 6x5, not 6x4...

It's a shame that there isn't a tool where you drag over an area and the build menus are filtered to things which fit in that area. That would save +soooo+ much time.

A very useful guide. Thanks for taking time to compile the list and share with the community

Nice work, thanks

I will add the missing values from [SE] Bean (with giving him credit for this, of course^^) as soon as possible (maybe tonight or tomorrow), so the values are complete on both - Beans printable sheet and this online sheet.

This is ridiculously helpful. I was just about to take out my notepad and start recording these stats when I thought to myself "Hang on a minute. Surely someone smarter than me has allready done this?" and whaddaya know...

That's a pretty nice sheet, [SE] Bean :) Good work!

I designed them for landscape printing, as portrait is less space efficient for tables.

I decided to improve upon what you started here. Clearly though, I cannot take credit for all your work. I just filled in your missing ones (???) and then made a pretty layout for printing if people want to do that. You can get the Excel/Google Spreadsheet here [docs.google.com] and the PDF here.
