Sewage Treatment Pump

Description
Treats waste water and pumps the treated water back into your city's water system. Does not need to be placed near water, just need a road connection. This asset DOES have a working connection to the water system unlike many of the other water assets on the Workshop.

Here are the stats for anyone interested:
240,000 units of water recycled per week
280,000 units of water treated per week
$25,000 initial building cost
$800 per week in upkeep.

This also generates garbage, which the other two do not. This is to simulate the fact that not everything can be treated, some solid waste would have to be removed and transported to the dump/incinerator.

To compare the original water pump generates about 120,000 units for about $2,500 and $240 per week in upkeep...while the original treatment plant handled about 160,000 units of waste water per week and cost about $15,000 with an upkeep of $640. So this costs about $5,000 more in intial build costs for the same amouont of water input and slightly better sewage treatment, but is more cost effective to keep running longterm, costing only $800 per week, while the two water pumps and sewage tretment would run you $1,120 per week.

It's After Dark compatible.

It's 8 years old...and completely unnecessary at this point. It was created at a time when you couldn't create water utilities without hex-editing the building data. I'm not sure if it works or not at this point, I don't use it, but it seems ridiculous to run down an asset from the very early days of the game at this point...do something more productive with your time.

There is a comment that says "Do not place it in an industrial/polluted area".
In RL, at least in Winnipeg, most if not all treatment plants and aeration ponds are isolated from ground water and have flood barriers so during a flood, unless the flood water rise over the protecting walls (which would then have sandbag height additions), the polluted flood waters can not effect the water treatment. Also the underground water pipes are naturally pressurized to minimize groundwater entering the system (my father was a plumber in Winnipeg until 1999).
Because of this we also have some treatment plants in or on the edges of actual industrial areas.
With the above in mind, how difficult would it be to create a modified version that was not affected by polluted ground?

@Cartzilla, Subscribed yesterday. The mod works as advertised. My city's water pumps were getting polluted due to the river running backwards due to diminishing water levels in the river. Once I installed the treatment plants and water towers my cims stopped dying and population began to increase again. Thank You so much for this mod!

@Carlzilla, oh ok if it is a game limitation then no problem
Carlzilla  [author] Jun 18, 2016 @ 6:32pm
In a perfect world, yes...however, the game isn't set up for that, so this is pretty much the only way to do it.

so this actually produces water? shouldnt this just clean water for the system it is connected tp?

I created a map for myself designed after the US Midwest. So there is lots of farming and open flat land but the problem was I added way to little of water space for my mid/late game city. I needed a water treatment place that would work without taking up space on my rivers. This really helped out. Now my city (farms) works fine. Thank you!
