Basics of crates

For those who don't know much about crates....

They are items that drop randomly and very frequently when you play.

They contain special items specific to each series of crates.

They can be opened by using one key. Keys must be bought for 2.50$ USD.

Each crate contains one item from a set. When opened, each item has a certain probability of being unboxed. The player then recieves a randomly selected item from the set. These can be strange weapons or unique cosmetics. Also, with each crate you have 1% chance to get an unusual cosmetic.

Unusuals are ususally what fuel peoples' desires to unbox lots of crates.

Unusuals

Unusuals are short for Unusual cosmetics. Unusual cosmetics are found in crates though very rarely.

Unusuals are very prized because of their rarity but also because of their effects.

Unusual effects are an animation that appear around the cosmetic, it can range from orbitng piles of Nuts and Bolts to pillars of Burning Flames.
Unusuals can value from 8 keys minimum to thousands of keys.

Their real worth vary between 40$ and 18 000 $ (no kidding)

People unbox with the dream of uncrating a 1000 $ unusual.....

Secret to Unboxing

So you have one chance in a hundred to uncrate an unusual with each key.

So you would need to open 100 crates to be (almost) guaranteed to unbox an unusual.

Thats 100 keys, or 250$.

You might not even get one, or end up with a super sexy massed flies steel brigade helm around 10 keys.....
